Hi everyone, I am about to purchase a new home theater system, almost exclusively for watching movies and am confused to death about which ones to buy.

Here is what I am thinking (Choice between two sets of speakers)

Amp - Denon AVR X3800 (Could also choose 2800, but would want to go with 3800)
Subwoofer - SVS SB1000 (Not Pro)(Could also choose JBL A120P, but want to go with SVS because I have heard so much about it)
Now for the Speakers is where it gets super confusing.
Either (LR - ELAC Debut B-6.2, C- Debut C-6.2, Surround - OW 4.2, Atmos - IC-1005 (This one probably would be changed)
Or (LR - QA 3030i, C - QA 3090CI, Surround - QA 3010i, Atmos - JBL Arena 6IC or something from QA only)
Have also considered this but it is too expensive (LR - KEF Q150, C- KEF T301, Surround - KEF Q150, Atmos- KEF CI200R)

Searching from 2 different sellers in Delhi (AV Shack, Trinity Sound), both keep trying to sell their own products, but mainly super confused between the QA and Elac, have thought about Klipsch, KEF but for my budget QA and ELAC's seem really bang for bucks), would be able to audition QA but not ELAC. Even the Amp and Sub have been decided after a hideously extensive amount of research, and still confused about those. Please help.

Both are good . And with avr klipsch reference book shelf pack you will get in your budget.

go for Denon 3800h and for subs you can go for dual jbl 120p or can go for a single tone winner d2000(better output than svs).
elac is better than q acoustics. but you have better options like polk r series, jbl stage and studio series or monitor audio . it mainly depends on your room size and listening volume.

What configuration you are looking for 5.1.2 or 5.1.4? If its 5.1.2 then can consider Marantz CInema 60 as well. Would save some bucks here and there.
Dont bother spending lot on your surrounds and atmos speakers. Specially for atmos, they are required only for atmospheric effects any decent satellite speakers would also do (Can go cheap on them).

I have gone through multiple phases of learning curve starting from underpowered amp then to get it tuned to my liking.

Major money should be in electronics a powerful amp (or one with pre outs to add amp later) then then your LR plus sub. Sub can be as big as u can afford you would love the way bass flows through the room.

You can also go for Ascendo sub12 or a used rythmik fvx12, better perf. than svs. Never go with sealed sub for HT applications as per my knowledge. Q Acoustics LR you can go with 3020i and as pthers suggested, go cheap on surrounds and atmos ceilings and/or satellites. Save a money for a good power amp in future and go with Marantz for a balanced output or Denon X3800 if you want more bass response.

I would go with 3800 or 1700. I don't quite get the positioning of 2800. Only advantage is a few watts. I was in the same boat and went with Marantz SR-5015, primarily due to potentially better support in Mumbai.

Subwoofer - SVS SB1000 (Not Pro)(Could also choose JBL A120P, but want to go with SVS because I have heard so much about it)
I have heard SVS, REL and Polk. I loved REL for it's control and precise response, and got REL HT/1003 MKII. I also liked Polk HTS12

I have heard the QA and liked them. However, I was so impressed with Wharfdale, that I went for Wharfdales instead. Bonus was the bipole surrounds, which work great when sofa is against the back wall, which is typical in small Mumbai flats. For atmos I got Wharfdale WCM-65.

Where are you located? You could go to offline shops and get a better deal. Search for the official distributor in your area, and purchase directly from them.

I am in search of good surrounds and 2 atmos speakers. Currently puny Yamaha Htib surround speaker(.75"/2.75") are being used but they do feel lackluster especially compared to IndiqAudio's LCR. I am currently eyeing on Mission Lx3d MKII(21k/slanted/4") but laxk of reviews is making me skeptical.
How is your experience with bipoles? Any major difference you can make out from traditional side mounted straight firing surrounds?

These are my first surround speakers, and I love them. They give a very enveloping sound.

I got these because they are not fussy when it comes to placement, and is not a direct sound aimed at the listener, rather a diffused spread out sound which is perfect for surrounds.
