HTPC for new Home theater

Dude that is some bad service from Asus !
Now I am scared I put in a Asus in my fileserver

To further complicate matters, they are now claiming that the problem is in the CPU (as the GPU is also in the processor now). Now we are waiting for them to test the motherboard with another CPU.

noobs should not be hired at service centres! if the CPU/GPU would have been faulty, you would have not got a display on VGA/DVI. And processor going faulty is much much much rarer than motherboards going bad

Guys, I should have updated this thread a while back. The problem was in fact with the processor itself (as the GPU is now on the processor). Everything would work fine, except HDMI.

I finally sent the processor for replacement and got a new boxed one within a week from AMD. AMD have good support in India.

Good to hear that the faulty piece has been replaced with a new one. Please post your impressions once you have completed the build.
