Ilaiyaraaja

Hi srikarkav,

Yes I learnt from another forum, about it. In fact I had posted this suggestion to release the album on LP even before its audio launch on the directors facebook page. Even our forum member gannyboy had suggested the same in person to the director Gautam Vasudev Menon.

Lets wait and see if it materialises. :licklips:

Hi all,

Agimusic releases lot of movie collections of IR's in Audio CDs. Where can we get these ? Any Idea?. Check. their FB Link www dot facebook dot com/agimusic

Hi anilkumar,

Pl ignore that post written by an musically challenged person. What an idiotic comparison between a person who spent 3 decades scoring for about 950 films in all southern languages, and others who have just scored for a dozens films.

Of course there is no doubt about the talent of VS Narasimhan, who was a trusted lieutenant of Ilaiyaraaja. "How to name it?" is a proof of this. The same album was handed over by Director Bharathiraja when he wanted Devendran to compose music for his film "Vedham Pudhidhu". Does the author know this fact?.

The blogger has not mentioned the names of either T.Rajender or SA.Rajkumar, who were the contemporaries of Ilaiyaraaja, which amply exhibits the authors complete ignorance about Tamil film music.

The blogger wants to get cheap publicity by this article.

I can only say one thing and this is my onw personal opinion. Whether there is a debate on IR's greatness or not, what ever may be, IR music is part and parcel of my life. Just like how our school days, college days are part of our life, IR music is also a part of my life. WHen ever I feel disturbed, I switch over to IR's music before going to sleep and that is a real medicine. That's more than enough for me to say that IR is a GOD and my heart is 100% convinced on that. Even if some one calls me a mad fan of IR, I am least bothered because I know from deep inside my heart that how IR music created a deep impact on me.

You are very correct Murali.

Even if one million such blogs appears, Illayaraja will stand/sit like Himalaya.

More than the question asked, I wanted die hard IR fans like me to read Jayamohan's reply and note few information. Like, when Film "Naan Kadavul" was being shot , IR;s songs were played to get correct emotions from the actors. So now one more dimension of great Illayaraaja's music has been publicly revealed that "his music can even be used as a acting lesson"
Regards,
Anil

Jeyaraj,
I am yet to clean them. These records were lying in dust with a shop keeper for years. He found them when he moved his things out to a new shop:)
Record condition seems to be good with no scratch. Will reply once I clean and play them.
