i happen to see online offers of letsbuy.com
the offers are juicy.
a few observations.
1. A Sony Home theatre MRP 40k is being sold at 27k with free shipping.
a huge margin considering sony products don't go below a certain price.
2. LG LV model tv prices are 4-8k less then the price quoted by retailers in bangalore. Free shipping too. Frankly good offers.

any one from bangalore purchased from letsbuy.com ?

I have brought a verbatim HDD from them. Got 10% additional discount by using ICICI bank debit card. Received the item within 3 days with excellent packaging.

I bought thumb drives in few months back on letsbuy.com ... the service was good ... they may also offer few coupons ... search for them ...

As I have understood, they sell US model products. Particularly for Samsung TVs, I have got better pricing for a proper Samsung India TV with Samsung India warranty.

I believe RoC has purchased from them. A Harmony remote IIRC. He pointed me to it and its a steal!

Yes some items at better price could be better to buy from them if we could not get better pricing elsewhere.

Also please check whether your place is serviceable by the courier companies they use. You can check it buy using the cash on delivery option and changing the PIN code. I had a hard time with them when i placed an order for a phone. They said my place is not serviceable by the courier so I had to give them an alternate address and it took around 10 days to receive the item.

I bought IPAD 2 from it and it came with excellent packaging. I got Rs 2000 discount with Relinace coupon card. The only grudge that I have is their customer service department. They have a single number which is either busy or ringing. Also, the status updates in the site is completely wrong!

I logged in just now and bought a camera Fujifilm FinePix S2950 for Rs. 9499/- using a coupon code which has a caption 100% cash back. Now what does this 100% cash back means?

These online retailers seem to be facing some heat from some manufacturers (mainly due to complaints from normal shop retailers) forcing them to go back on some of the price cuts that they offer on select products

Recently Canon had issued a memo to online retailers like Flipkart, Infibeam to stop operating below the normal MOP(Market Operating Price). A copy of this memo was shown to me by a camera retailer in the city.

An example is the Canon SX230 HS which was retailing at about 18700 change on Flipkart about a month ago and an unbelievable 18195 on letsbuy 2 weeks ago. Today this model costs exactly 20365(which is exactly a 3% discount) on these sites at the retailer's. There is one shop though that still was ready to give it for 19500 but with fewer freebies.

I bgt a samsung galaxy 2 for 20990 while all the retail shops were selling for 24k. Only issue is with their customer service and delivery. It tuk 7 days fr delivery to hyd. Heard de use land transfer thru aramex.

All in all, gr8 prices with slow delivery.

Have bought couple of stuff from let's buy, ranging from Phillips beard trimmer, Blackberry phone, thumb drives and memory cards, the experience has been good till now.
