Did you try the DVD play on other TV or my just connect it's audio to any other audio device and see if any sound is coming there. If you get the sound means some issue with DVD player else need to check some setting of TV.

I tried it with my HDMI cable..it worked fine.. so its the problem with my AV cable red, yellow, White... Now its resolved....

There is one freeware tool called popcorn audioconverter. I use this tool to conever DTS tracks to Dolby digital tracks.

I got 42' LD650 yesterday and i am loving it. I checked thru the service menu and the usage time was 64. Is this fine?

You can live with this but when I checked for my set this was showing 21hr but I check this after 10days of use.

I'm following reviews on buying an LCD and zero-ing on LD 650. Read from different sources that LG has no DTS license. Is it really a problem while watching movies ripped/ downloaded or online? Is it possible to update the firmware later? Also how is the response of lg tech support for issues.

Can I rely on the product/service menu for the total display hours? I would like to get a box piece rather a display piece.

Also, has anyone viewed from usb, movies with length more than 2 hours.. read a restart issue with it...

I got a quote for Rs.34500 for 32" which I think is irresistible but it looks like this model is very much out of stock in stores/warehouses. Any news on LG coming up with another model to replace this?

Yes it doesn't support DTS sound(I use popcorn audio converter tool to convert the DTS sound to dolby digital). I heard that LG support is best among other players. I guess u can rely on the Usage details shown in tv. I've played many big size long movies upto 3.5hr mkv files.

Press the Input button on ur remote(its in top row) and then select the desire source what you have connected to TV. You will see only coneected input source will be active rest are grayed. Hope it helps you.

Since this TV doesnt decode DTS Audio....can somebody tell me if it at least passes through the Audio....I intent to connect it to an amplifier using the Optical Out and hopefully that way the Amp can decode DTS audio...

I doubt this although I've not tried but whenever I play I get an error of unsported audio but the video keep playing.

Yes it does.(Wired LAN + TOSLink cable) but i could only get this working with 'PS3 media server' normal WMP12 streaming doesn't really work for me.

Hi Guys

I have 42LD650 & Dish TruHD. I can see picture is dotted or a bit blurry for HD channels as well. Specially channels other than Discovery & NGC. Few dots are visible on these channels too

Is its normal or something wrong with panel.?

Most of the LCD Tvs got audio quality issue except few LG Jazz series.
For a better sound u must have to use home theater or any stereo setup.

2- Onkyo HT-3300

which one works great with LD650???
