Just received a shipment of BD's from amazon.co.uk ordered 11 Nov, 2012. Estimated delivery date was 5 Dec, 2012, thankfully delivered way in advance, though I am still waiting on a shipment that was due to be delivered 14 Nov, 2012. The external packaging is a bit battered but the contents appear to be perfectly fine.

Order value 59.02, no duty charged. :thumbsup:

Few good movies like 'North by Northwest', 'Dial M for Murder' etc. are not part of this set !!

Buddy, in one of your older thread you had Casino Royale collectors edition Bluray for sale... i wanted to know if it was Indian official release and does it contained 2 Disks or one?

BTW, if you never found a seller for it... i am interested.

Yes, Casino Royale, its the Indian Official release and has only 1 disc in it. Surprisingly, its mentioned "DISC 1" on the Blu-ray Disc and as "ONE (1) BLURAY DISC" on the back cover. On the front it states "Collector's Edition".

Its a region free disc.

Even then if you are interested, kindly PM.

yaa bro, i know they are not listed as they are not owned by universal most of the movies in the set are good movies.....being a huge hitchcock fan..super set for me :yahoo:..hope the price is good.

Just ordered the HP series when the deal was on. It worked out for me as below which is slightly more than your indication of the calculation. And I am sure I added the lightening deal only and not the regular price of 28gbp.

Postage & Packing: 3.58

Total Before VAT: 26.91
VAT: 0.00
-----
Total: 26.91
Promotion Applied: -5.34
-----
Grand Total: 21.57

So the total finally worked out to be GBP 21.57 which is still good :-). Just hoping I shouldn't be charged the custom duty and the deal would be even more sweeter ;)

That's correct, because the VAT is not deducted if opting for lightning deals.
So, its 17.99+3.58 = GBP 21.57

I hope that this clears the doubt.
 
VAT should be refunded for all sold items exported out of EU. I am surprised that VAT is not reduced for lightening deals - unless the price quoted is less of VAT and in that case someone inside UK/EU would be charged VAT.

As a law, EU countries are required to display final retail prices to customers inclusive of all taxes. If an item is marked GBP 100 in a shop, when you buy it, the sales receipt shows:

Item price: 83.33
VAT @ 20%: 17.67

just4kix, is correct in this matter... But its surprising that VAT does not get deducted here. Maybe as just4kix , said the VAT amount would be adjusted before.
