OLED TV's price/best quote thread

Yup, but you can’t make a lot of people sit closer to the TV and view head on. This is a living room TV so our recliner is fixed at 10 feet away and we needed something that covers the entire 3 seater sofa which can view head on. That won’t give a good experience with 65” size.

85” at 9 feet you’ll need 65” at 7 feet. If you can do that, that’ll save you lots of money.

My next upgrade will be 98” or 110” TV
Offtopic disclaimer.

In my room, I swivel mounted the LG C10 and sometimes when i need immersion, i push the clunky chain rung of the swivel and watch it a good foot nearer. However like the saying goes the clamp is only as strong as its weakest link, it shows on the swivel. I stopped pushing it. But it gave me immersion like a 77" screen on those brief occassions and so my 77" craving was compromised. But hall TV always gives me the itch to go bigger. A 75 to 85 might not satisfy my craving. So 98" is the next upgrade. Or pj (ust). But in recent times I have been considering audio upgrade to Marantz 8015 with 11 channel speakers retaining the 75". I did a cheap HT right now, (interim to the big move later on) with a grandpa Pioneer 817 optical 7.1 receiver and Micca 000 inexpensive speakers with no Atmos in this chain but the vintage avr amplifies to a great extent, more than what i desired. Insofar my 80 year old dad loves to watch world cup cricket in surround! He says technology has gone so ahead that its like watching in stadium(for this itself). I bet a 98" with marantz 8015 and 11 speakers (and a 15" sub) will be the final frontier for me. In the west they have 97" OLED at competitive commercial price. We Indian consumers can try for that kind of cash a 98" LCD/LED plus a 11 channel processing receiver and great speakers and subs. Rabbit hole stuff. ))

I am in for 77" G3 or S95C in Hyderabad if someone going for group discount. I currently use LG B7 bought about 6 years ago, want to upgrade.
I can wait and not in hurry.

I am in for 65 inch G2 or C2 in Delhi if anyone where ok for group discount. I'm already looking for 2 tv's,1 for me and one for my brother's room. Mine will be G2 or C2 (May be C3 or G3, depending on good discount) and for my brother's room, it will be budget one 65 inch.

Will purchase in 1st week on November. Anyone have the latest prices, kindly share.

Just look up THX or SMPTE distance calculators, you'll find plenty of them. I use this one usually: http://www.hometheaterengineering.com/viewingdistancecalculator.html

And if you're contemplating one size over another, use this comparison tool: https://www.displaywars.com/

I went from a 7-year old 58" Panasonic LED TV (still working very well, now shifted to another room) to a G3 77". For the longest time I was going to purchase the 65" model, but then I read somewhere go big or go home. :D

Im in ludhiana for purchase 77s95c ...can wait till 7-8 november through RD

Got the following quotes today

65X90L - 1.40L after cashback
65S90C - 1.55L after instant discount
65C3 - did not get a direct quote, just that it'll be about 10k more than S90C.

None of these involved any negotiations yet.

If anybody here is from Bhubaneswar/Cuttack and wants to form a group buy please get in touch.

Instead of forming per city groups, we should make a pan India one and deal with pan india retailers like RD/Vijay Sales/Chroma etc.

Perhaps a well-known member could take charge for confidence.

I'm new here so not sure if something like this has worked before, but imo this should get us the best benefits.

Also, count me in for a 65" C3/G3.

Will visit stores in 1st week november where r u from ? Do u have idea of rates?
I'm in amritsar looking for s90c or G3 77inch got the quote 3.3 for s90 and 3.7 for G3 RD Chandigarh. DON'T go for s95 as it has only 40gb limit on HDMI 2.1 not the full 48gb plus samsung one connect box always very risky reliability after 3 years. S90C even have better colour volume than S95C according to rtings.

I don't think the 40gbps limit hinders anything worthwhile (please correct me if I'm wrong).

As far as I know, 33gbps is enough for 4k120 10bit 444. That leaves enough for audio too even if it's 40gbps.

Agreed to your other points though.

If we can get G3 77 for 3.7 then C3 77 might be aroun 2.6-2.7 hopefully

In BLR, RD quoted 3.9ish for LG G3 77 and 3.4 for C3. They give you a higher quote and hint they can go around 20-25k less if you are ready to do the billing right away.

They said that they would get the offer price on Dusshera and prices going lower by Diwali would depend on the stock level, if there were many unsold prices could be negotiated lower. I guess it depends on the buying interest they see in the next couple of weeks.

Checked in a LG store yesterday in Bangalore. They quoted roughly 2.35 + 10K CB on cards for 2.25. This is of course rough and they said that if I finalise they will of course reduce further. I am getting inclined to purchase - I really do not care so much about that last 10K more. Also, I remember last year there was this huge shortage of G2 right after Diwali. Stocks are limited - he may be trying to push but there was an issue last year at least in Bangalore.

I am thinking push to around 2.15 + card discounts. What do you think?

This is for the LG G3. Though I love the Sony, the atrocious pricing kills it for me.

I already have a quote from RD of 2L for the 65" G3 (all discounts included). Wouldn't suggest paying higher than that at this point in time.

However, if you can wait, Diwali offers will surely be lower. I don't think they'll run out of stock before Diwali. And the stock issues last year occurred after the heavy Diwali discounts too.

The more unsold inventory before Diwali, the heavier the discounts.
