Offtopic disclaimer.Yup, but you can’t make a lot of people sit closer to the TV and view head on. This is a living room TV so our recliner is fixed at 10 feet away and we needed something that covers the entire 3 seater sofa which can view head on. That won’t give a good experience with 65” size.
85” at 9 feet you’ll need 65” at 7 feet. If you can do that, that’ll save you lots of money.
My next upgrade will be 98” or 110” TV
In my room, I swivel mounted the LG C10 and sometimes when i need immersion, i push the clunky chain rung of the swivel and watch it a good foot nearer. However like the saying goes the clamp is only as strong as its weakest link, it shows on the swivel. I stopped pushing it. But it gave me immersion like a 77" screen on those brief occassions and so my 77" craving was compromised. But hall TV always gives me the itch to go bigger. A 75 to 85 might not satisfy my craving. So 98" is the next upgrade. Or pj (ust). But in recent times I have been considering audio upgrade to Marantz 8015 with 11 channel speakers retaining the 75". I did a cheap HT right now, (interim to the big move later on) with a grandpa Pioneer 817 optical 7.1 receiver and Micca 000 inexpensive speakers with no Atmos in this chain but the vintage avr amplifies to a great extent, more than what i desired. Insofar my 80 year old dad loves to watch world cup cricket in surround! He says technology has gone so ahead that its like watching in stadium(for this itself). I bet a 98" with marantz 8015 and 11 speakers (and a 15" sub) will be the final frontier for me. In the west they have 97" OLED at competitive commercial price. We Indian consumers can try for that kind of cash a 98" LCD/LED plus a 11 channel processing receiver and great speakers and subs. Rabbit hole stuff. ))
