HiJust for everyone's information, I visited Croma Store at Ambience mall Gurgaon and was quoted 2.25l for the C9 65 (without soundbar) less cashback of 10k for HDFC / 15k for IDFC First.
Guess expecting the price to fall to 1.8l -1.9l this Diwali season for C9 65 would be very far fetched. :/
However while billing they said they would enter model number as b9 while delivery will be for c9. Don’t know how reliable this is.
What they said is that the bill will have c9 but the billing machine which swipes my card will have b9.No no. That's risky. You should have the exact model only on the bill. It can cause issues later if ever a problem develops. Try Reliance, VS, Croma or LG brand shops. See if they'll match the price, because it's pretty good.

Kohinoor is using the lg billing machine to show b9. However someone mentioned that later on if the serial # is matched with the model # it will create a problem. Not sure if this though.Ah! As long as the bill says C9, it should be fine. This issue is happening with cashback EMI swapping, as there's minimum price of each item. When I took mine, just two weeks ago actually, the swiping amount was higher than bill price; so VS wrote that higher price as payments with the total being in negative. That amount they'll transfer to me. See if Kohinoor can do this.

Yeah that's what Croma mentioned as wellI wouldn't take this risk on a big item. If I'm buying C9, swipe should be for C9. I prefer the workaround VS used; billing for higher amount and refunding me the extra cost.
That would work if you are not converting it to EMI.I wouldn't take this risk on a big item. If I'm buying C9, swipe should be for C9. I prefer the workaround VS used; billing for higher amount and refunding me the extra cost.

The challenge from what I understand is that LG has imposed pricing ceilings for their products. So the dealers can't go below a certain rate for a certain item.
The scheme is on EMI. But not sure if it will work. That would work if you are not converting it to EMI.

Even I had swiped for C8 when buying C9 for CC EMI. No problems in billing and EMI. If you really think LG would match swiping serial with your TV model then take the route mentioned by Marakk, otherwise personally for me it was fine. But do note that in my case this was done by LG Brand Store only and I received the 3 year warranty card. The scheme is on EMI. But not sure if it will work.
There is usually no problem at the time of billing or EMI but the problem could come at the time of cash back which is 90 days from billing. No, I will receive it after 90 days. But the CC slip has all the relevant cashback details mentioned which is from banks side. Now the procedure once initiated is automated. I already have got the EMI amount charged as per the slip. There is usually no problem at the time of billing or EMI but the problem could come at the time of cash back which is 90 days from billing. If you converted the higher amount to EMI then won't you be paying a higher GST on the interest amount since the interest amount will be higher for a higher principal? It worked even with EMI. The bill was for higher amount; EMI calculated on that amount. Balance transferred to me by VS. The card swiping machine wasn't allowing swiping below Rs. 146,999.

You got yours from VS as in Vijay Sales?
Interesting. Your debit card EMI is interest free? Did not know that such an option existed.Yes. Vijay sales. That interest is only on credit card EMI. Mine was debit card. I have the HDFC guy's confirmation that it won't be charged on debit card EMI.
