As per RBI, banks are barred from offering No Cost EMI. So I think you will be charged interest
Yes, but not GST on it. The HDFC bank employee confirmed it to me. I have that as a call recording too.

When I asked the possibility of getting 2 cashbacks in August when i purchased my 55C8 dealers told me that 7.5K cashback is only applicable when you do a single swipe for more than 130K. That time there was an cashback offer for 6K for highend LG refrigerators, So though the actual billing was done for 55C8, they did 2 swipes in my ICICI and HDFC credit cards for 60K+ each by selecting the refrigerator model in the swiping machine. In fact the dealers even mentioned that they can do upto 3 swipes if i choose 65C8..
Now I got the full 12K cashback from the 2 cards last month. So you can ask them if there's currently any such cashback offer for refrigerator or for other product.. From the dealers I checked only Reliance and Girias were ready to do 2 swipes.

Today I visited Adishwar in JP Nagar Bangalore,salesman after talking to manager told me to hold purchase till 15th oct , some Diwali offer is coming and C9 65 inch may come below 2L.he will give me call once offer is launched.Also Pai electronics told he will match the price pus give LG SL8YG soundbar.
Sub 2lakh price with soundbar? I hope it's true.
Without soundbar would get reduced to 1.8l maybe

Let's hope so,he told he sold new C8 65 inch in 1.599 L few weeks back but now it's out of stock.
True there is an interest component which is supposed to be credited instantly. The cash back comes after 90 days.
Don't be too hopeful since C8 prices continued to remain on higher side even when c9 was launched.
though you're getting some additional features for the same price this year compared to last year's model (as one would expect with tech toys) the 3 year warranty from lg is the killer feature. almost makes me wish i'd waited for this year.
afaik you will have to pay gst on interest. nothing hdfc can do in this statutory payment. no "no cost" emi permitted by rbi
If I'm charged, I'll let you know and raise a complaint to HDFC and Vijay Sales too.

Yesterday checked at reliance digital Bannerghatta road Bangalore,he is ready to give C9 65 inch for 2.1L plus 9k cash back so effective price of 2.01L. This without soundbar (20k).I played with TV for around 30 mins ,but 1080p YouTube through mobile hotspot was not looking so good,I guess upscalling on this tv is not so great,my wife said home 10 year old LCD tv looks better.offcourse 4k was great.

Are you sure that youtube was actually playing at 1080p. Did you check this in the app with the nerd stats turned on? Which video were you looking at?
The up-scaling on the C9 is excellent and this is coming from someone who routinely watches web-dls which are 720p
