OLED TV's price/best quote thread

Hi Guys!

Need your expert suggestion on the below quotes for LG C9.

Store 1: They have a C9 demo piece which is being offered at 1,21,490/- with 3 years warranty.

Store 2: They didn't have C9 so the guy tried convincing me to buy the CX for 1,57,000/- with 7.5k cashback offer. This offer is 30k over the budget. I was planning to spend 1.2L on the TV and 30k on a basic 5.1 home theatre setup (I have absolutely no idea with regards to the home theatres so don't know if this is the right terminology). Basically I want to hear surround sound like in theatre.

Store 3: Apparently they opened a new store 7 days ago and displayed a brand new C9 in that new store. He is willing to give that C9 for 1,24,590/- with 7.5k cashback and 2 years warranty. So I have asked him to send me the total hours run in that 7 days old C9 just to check that he isn't bluffing me.

What do you guys think about the above prices?

Store 1: C9 demo piece for 1.21L is a joke. Not worth the risk unless it is well below 1L. A new C9 was around 1.10L in 2019 Oct.

Store 3: If they really do have a C9 less than 7 days old, it sounds good. But, you should still be looking at a price ~1L for a demo piece.

CX is just around the corner. Wait for a few more days before jumping the gun. Although, I do agree, the general market sentiment is that prices this year will not be able to match last year's due to all the import duties and everything.

But, historically speaking, TV prices will be attractive during Diwali time. I spoke to an LG showroom manager and he told me that he had personally sold an LG C9 55inch for 1.07L after all the cashbacks and discounts last Diwali. So, even if you consider the increase in prices, we might be able to expect a brand new CX 55inch for ~1.2L this Diwali.

So, in essence, it's just a few more days. Hang in there bud.
Good luck.

Not sure why they got different results. I have interview of engineers from LG themselves who say both have the same panel and the only difference is the flush mount on the GX.

Check out the video at 'the tech chap' channel.
Yea saw that one. But I think there are differences for sure. The panel in c9 and cx are also same, but still lot of differences.

All of these are bad offers, LG CX right now is around 1.4L and brand new lg c9 available for 1.22L

Both use the exact same panel and processing. Any difference is due to panel to panel variance, software updates and screen size tested.
Same panel but the different processor.C9 has alpha 9 gen 2 and CX has alpha 9 gen 3. This means in theory slightly better upscaling and better motion handling.

In reality, both the tv perform very similar in most of the cases. In fact all the 4 B9,C9,BX,CX perform similarly

Terrible offers if 55 inch. If 65 inch, then very good deals

I was comparing CX with GX which use the same panel and same processor.

Please read the complete article.
This is the first time HDMI 2.1 GPU's are released. There are bound to be tweaks (both at the TV and the GPU end) before they can be stable.
Also how many people using these expensive graphics cards 699+ usd.I dont its an issue for most of the users.

Would become an issue with new gen consoles which use hdmi 2.1. from what I read on pc forums, the issue is specific to cx and not there in c9. CX doesn't accept the full colour gamut while c9 does

This could just be an NVIDIA thing. Lets wait for PS5 and XBOX Series X to be tested to these TV's before we can take this discussion further.
