Hi All,
I am totally new to this forum. So i am totally sorry if this is not the right section to post this query. Please move it to the appropriate section if so.

I am planning to buy a 5.1 home audio system,
budget - 50k (maxxxx)
living room size - 18 (L) x 15 (W)
Requirement - HD Movies (beamed through HDMI cable to 40" LCD)

Finalized on
Amplifier - Onkyo TX-NR515 (28K - shipped from US)
5.1 system - JBL Cinema 300 (23k - india price after some discounts)

Reasons:
Onkyo amplifier -
. the reviews of nr515 were the best for its value
. Future safe with 7.2 channel support
. humongous connectivity options

JBL 5.1 system
. better than the sonys and other systems
. good looks (still looks plasticy though )

Am I heading in the right direction? Please help.

Thanks a lot for your help. I was checking in Amazon for Energy take which costs me $400 (ships to india).

The problem with NR515 import is that i heard that step down(from 220 to 110) impacts the audio quality. Is that true?

If possible, do an audition of Pioneer SP-PK51FS 5.1 package. They are awesome for their price.

is bigger, better, cheaper than

Yes, you need a step down transformer to make it work. Look at amazon. de or amazon.uk, you can get 220v version. Or get an AVR locally.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
