Fear not..the EHHA-1 isn't obsolete by a long shot. It still is one among the best DIY designs out there.
As for blessings..i think we will no longer see any DIY designs from Cavalli Audio.

damn - I am still waiting for a decent ortho to come my way. Seems too many users waiting to lap it up and the supply is too low!
I want a good one that has decent bass - like the hp50s yamaha I heard at guru's place.

^^LOL... Now you are spoiled too. The bass on HP50S is not decent but amazing for a headphone.
You seemed to think that T50RP had decent bass till you heard the HP50S.
That said, I find the bass on HP/YH -2 to be pretty satisfying & they are pretty easily available.
I shall bring my YH-2 when I get a chance to visit you.

a friend is visiting japan. wondering how to make him get some good stuff for me.
the YH-1 is supposed to sound exactly like the YH-2 though it should be a bit easier to drive.
The QC on HP-3 is quite variable. Some are bassy like YH-100/HP50S, others like HP/YH series.
IMO, you should listen to the YH-2 first before committing to anyone of them esp. if you plan to get just one.
These pop up on the bay quite often, so you need not worry about the availability later.

I was referring to Leben CS300X.
Just kidding though, doesn't fit my budget even if its much cheaper in Japan.

The Leben is actually a very good choice for a stereo amp which doubles up as a great ortho amplifier...I haven't heard it myself, but everything i have ever read about it has been popular. The Ultralinear mode with 15WPC of powar will be most appreciated by orthos.

I am planning to audition the Leben, just learnt that we have a dealer here in Delhi.
The fact that it is an excellent all-rounder does make it a viable prospect for me in the future.
BTW sachi, do you have a spare pair O2 clone pads ?
I want to try them with my NAD.

Sorry dude..I had 5 pairs, gave away one pair each to Smeggy and dBel, one pair went with one of the TPs i sold off. The other two I plan to keep for myself. I am trying to get my contact to make me a few more pairs. Will let you know if it fructifies.

For me, I must say, the Stacker 2 is all I ever want. I plan on rebuilding one or just building another one in the image of the Stacker dBel84 built for JPnums..like the ones with the orange stacker in the middle that i posted a few days ago.
been experimenting with the Wharfedale Zebrawood damping..been close to 9 months since i damped any headphone. Took a while and a few iterations to get them sounding somewhat to my satisfaction
It still needs work.
