here comes another dump question 
... apologies if this is being repeated.
I bought BDT220 recently, and was playing some Region A BDs which are 50GB 3D discs. As my TV is 2D, i have set the player's 3d Option to "set before play" which allow user to set the play mode to either 3D or 2D.
The problem is when I play some of the BDs, It is being played as 3D only (As i see two splitted images on TV). The issue is not see with all the BDs, I played 8 3D discs and found this only on 3 of them, rest 5 are working fine.
I tried to go to Top Menu on remote, but no option there, I pressed 3D button it says 'option not available'. I have explored most of the options in BDT220, but in vain...
Is this the issue with my discs
Any help is appreciated

I think it is because some disc has a 2D version of the same movie on the same disc. For example, Tintin, MIB3, IMAX-Under Sea all has both the versions (3D & 2D) on the same disc. So as per the option you choose, it will play the same. But if you don't have a 3D bdp or a 3D TV, it will play only the 2D version. For the other ones there is a separate disc for a 3D movie and 2D movie. So if you want to play such disc it will give an error as there is no option to play it in 2D. Like Prometheus, Hugo, Hobbit, Amazing Spiderman etc

- a 2D and 3D version on the same disc
- a separate BD for 2D and 3D
If you try to play a 3D/2D combo disc, you will get a blu-ray disc menu which says, Play 3D version or Play 2D version. From the menu you must select the 2D version. The players option will not always work properly. The way the disc behaves totally depends upon the java and menu implementation. The java program is sometimes known to override the player options.
If the 2D and 3D discs are separate, then do not play 3D disc.

Many thanks guys...
i was suspecting the same thing but following two facts confused me:
1. The cover of working and non working BDs both says 3D but none says 3D+2D
2. bdt220 or Tv do not show any error, instead displaying two side-by-side images on TV.
in fact Prometheus and hobbit are working in my case

I don't remember about Prometheus but the The Hobbit BD that I have has two separate discs - two for 3D version and one for 2D version.

If locally a new piece is available for 8K plus, that too something with PAL standard and 220V power input, why one would go for this one ay $80? The landed cost will be same if not more for this US version.

Use the unblock-us/ site to gain a proxy type IP address and you are good to go.. Its detailed in the said site itself.
BTW i am using this.
Thanks , iam using a wireless router and BDT is connected in wifi mode.Do you have to change Ip in router or in BDT.

configures still bdt220 does not show netflix app. dns configuered in bdt settings also?

I am also using a router. I have changed those in router so that i can access using the bdp and my laptop too.. And restarted the router.
BTW you have given the same IP address as in their how-to page..right ?
Yes iam using the same IP given , i dont see Netflix apps in my BDP220 undetr markets

Have you upgraded the bdp to the latest firmware..i think its 1.54.
done,also firmware update for multiregion. anyway will try other solutions.,in meanwhile anybody in the forum with BDT220 purchased from Ebay (Bankok procured) any luck with Netflix App? mine does not show (JUST4KIX are using bdT220 for Netflix ,anyinputs on config?)
