Consider me in your group buy deal.

Thanks Everyone.

any one interested in Panasonic th-p50v20?
rate will be 73.3k for individual buy and 70k for group buy for more than 5 pieces with free shipping..with official 3 yr panel warranty and bill with free installation..
do let me know..

I had ST30 placed side by side to V20 and I could easily say V20 was better. I also navigated the menus to ensure that no extra processing was being done to enhance PQ. Both with SD signal and HD signal. I hope that you differ based on comparison, since what good is spec if it doesn't translate to something palpable in reality?
Then in that case vt20 must be way ahead of st30. dont have st30 in my town so could not chect it out. but have seen v20 and vt20. mind boggling pq. waiting to see st30 before making buying decision

Surfing the Panasonic sites for the latest in the V series, I found that the V and the VT series are being offered simultaneously in Singapore in 42",50" and 65". In fact the VT20 series too is available though in 50" and 58" sizes. Downloaded the Specs for the 42V20S and 42VT30 for comparison. The attachment shows the full specifications for both. The specs for the two series are common across all sizes.

Per my tele conversation with the Panasonic Sales Manager - Retail Channel a couple of days back, they have no inclination of launching the new 42VT30 in India. My thinking is that if we are to pay through our nose for these panels we should at least get the same models as are current across the Globe and not something that was last year's top of the line. Since that does not seem to be happening with the V series, I am beginning to lean away from 42/50 V20 and more towards the LC40LE830M from Sharp which is the same model that Sharp is selling at the moment in all of their markets around the World.

I thought it would be appropriate to share this here, as all of us are/were interested in the group buy for the 50V20. So what do you guys think, do share your views.

Nice find. But do you think sharp products are worth spending that premium money ? knowing that their ASS network is not that great.

Re: Panasonic Plasma TH-P42V20D?

Is there anywhere i can get a single piece of P42V20 in Bangalore?

Please advice.

Re: Panasonic Plasma TH-P42V20D?

42V20 is all but history now.

Hope, is coz of that "but". I am hoping against hope, i might find a piece somewhere in bangalore, with some help here on the forum. :)

50V20 will follow shortly.

I know, i have been advised to go for this, when i had asked for 42V20. But, i neither have the viewing distance nor the inverter support at home for this model.

Hey Khoj,

Is there anything significant except 3D and THX mode that you find in the pdf which would prevent you from buying the V20?

If it isn't broken, it doesn't need fix right? Am I missing something?

Let us say VT30 is being released in India. It would cost like 1.3L. Isn't the V20 @70k more VFM even then?

Also, given 3 years warrenty, does it matter if it is last year's model?

I still think it is a good deal.

I don't get your point exactly.. Did you think V20 was a 2011 model when you were looking for it? If not, How would it matter now?

Yes, A.S.S. could be the thorn that punctures this ballon. This model's MRP is 1.3L something but the Sharp Retail Manager has made an offer of 90K over the phone. May or may not reduce further.

42V20 is all but history now.
50V20 will follow shortly.

Per the Panasonic Manager, 50V20 will continue to be available albeit via their corporate sales channel. Per the gent this panel is in huge demand for video conferencing requirements and the like.

I am quite aware of the chronology of the model. I have elaborated my thought process in my previous post. Further, I am not asking anyone to follow suit merely sharing my view + the info and yes looking to read how others feel about the VT30 being available. Thank you for your post.

Fair enough.

I was wondering if Iam missing anything in the enthusiasm.
Looks like your concerns are non issues for me. :)
Thanks,

Is the same seller you told on ebay quoted the price 70k??? Or is it someone else...
Also i saw the seller he has kept all range of panasonic.
So are we trusting him and proceeding for deal or is there any other dealer u referring to.
Am just trusting this forum and hoping to grab a good deal.

Update:

Discussed with the ebay seller.

The ebay prices remain same @75k with shipping since there is ebay charges to be paid.
If you want paisapay protection, this is the price you pay for that.

The seller is the same one naimesh is in contact with apparently. Answers querries in a jiffy!

He was also open to other means of payment. I hope naimesh is handling that part already.

5 pieces available as of now.

sorry BLASTO,
missed your post completely..
he is the same seller..he is from kanpur..panasonic authorised dealer..Deepak Elecronics..i think someone from kanpur can varify..
i think if 5 or more ppl can be together for group buy, we people can get very good rate...and again it can be done outside ebay safely to cut their fees..
if you now check ebay, he has opened ebay shop with almost entire range of panasonic with other brands like hitachi, onkyo..
he told me to give me confirmed no of buyers for 50v20..he has 5 no of pieces availabe as of now and more can be arranged...as i have not heard still from anyone, so i was thinking to drop the idea of group deal..still if anyone interested than please atleast let me know..
regarding payment he is open for all kinds of payment methods except EMI(haven,t asked him)!!!!!!!

Naimesh
