what difference does it make if it is being sold at 60k?How am I going to deal with that..probably sets are sold to local guys and if not, how am I going to trust him and how can I make sure that I am going to brand new piece?
I don't know about your city BLASTO but I live in a city where 2 croma, 2 vijay sales and 1 ezone is available and NO ONE keeps more than ONE plasma tv including all brands..
I read almost 10,000 posts in last 5 months(yes!!!) (never commented, how can I?and I learnt 3 lessons:read, search and audition..but where to audition?I got nowhere to compare panasonic, samsung and lg plasma together or even all panasonic plasma (for that matter). people disappear when you ask for plasma tv..
so no mega store keeps higher than 42x30, which is being sold at 40,000!!!!
I told someone in this thread that we have 1 dealer who has 42v20 the bargained price for that is 66k!!!!
regular electronics store DO NOT keep plasma tv and LAUGH when you ask for plasma tv..
We have one panasonic brandshop and i saw 50v20 and i fell in love(along with 50vt20)..he offered me demo piece(at least 5 month old, used to show worldcup matches)for 89k!!!!!!!!!!!!! I shown them this prices and he said they have only this rates and shown me receipt book that on same day he has sold one for 94k!!!!!!!!!!!(hardly 10-12 days back)..
I started to look for Energy take classic before 3 months and was even surprised..NO ONE has heard name of energy take classic..croma kept just 1 HTIB that is onkyo 3300 for 25k..vijay sales kept at least 2 running HTIB of yamaha 292 and 294..
people say to go to nearby city but its really not that easy to audition in other cities..
Only receiver I was able to audition was yamaha 365 for 25k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and WF MS65+ for 24k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 i said both models are 2 years old and he started laughing...saying that just number changes every year and technology remains the same...
We have Onkyo authorised dealer and was not ready to give demo for 3400..
i was not able to demo any denon and price quoted to me was 32k for 1611.. am sure we can get 1912 in that price..
I bought my receiver through GEB, speakers from Avenue sounds and now TV from this dealer..
We have population of almost 45 lacs and one of the fastest growing city in world..and condition in electronics is pathetic..
73.5k still is the BEST deal for ME considering 1-1.2k for shipping and 2-2.5k for dvd player..still looking for media player and have no option but to buy from ebay..(no one has heard name of wd tv live)( and of course without audition)....
I thought it will go down to 65k within month when I paid, but it is sooner than expected.. but i think at this rate 50v20 will disappear within 1 month from market..
you people are really lucky what i read from this forum, when i read about comparisions, negotiations..

All said and done, This is an exceeding good price for the V20.

@Kittu, was your negotiation limited only to the 50" or did it include the 42V20 also. Do advise the price in Bangalore for the smaller size (negotiated or otherwise).
The final prices obtained by Naimesh and yourself are phenomenal, here in Dilli the best offers are 85K for the 50" & 54K for the 42" both being V20 series.
