Pass B1

Folks, include me in a transformer group buy as well. I plan to combine the CNC Phonostage and the Pass B1 in one cabinet. So need your suggestions. TIA.

Sachin, please ship it to Gobble, he stays close to my office.

Thanks buddy

Hi Santhosh,
You have to adjust LDR ,and power supply too.You can keep CNC or power supply in a separate enclosure.
I will ship your kit to Gobble today.

@Gobble did you receive your kit?

Regards,
Sachin

What I thought like this.

I have cab of 8 (D) X 12(W) X 3 (H) inches. Its normal metal enclosure, with planned Al faceplate. I will making 3 partition using metal at both ends in 3 parts of width are 2.5 + 8+ 1.5.
Sharing my plan, most of the PCB & R-Core are mounted vertically except PASS B1.

Collected the kit from courier office just now. It is a pleasure to view such a nice looking pcb and hold it in the hands ... to muse that these parts are saving me 50+K INR in not purchasing some branded audio gear ... :ohyeah: :licklips: Joy! Sheer Joy at the idea of savings :clapping:

Want to know the dimensions of the R-core too before buying. The 3 PCBs will fit in my enclosure fine if I replace the 15000 microfarad capacitors. Which are 3 mm taller.

Any progress on the group buy for the trafos?

We will come to know tomorrow. Please let me know who want and how many. My brother will be going tomorrow morning/afternoon.

I don't have that data. As per normal standard 30VA expected within (L)120mm(W)95mm(H)55mm.

You are most welcome, no issues here. Its for everybody's benefit.

BTW its written R-30 for 22-0-22, 1A, 30VA in invoice which confirms my dimensions stated in previous post. [So as per invoice I got R-30 expected size is (L)120mm(W)95mm(H)55mm.]
[Somehow 30VA can be fit into (78mm73mm41mm) not the case here.]

The EMD r-core is humungous for its VA rating. Better one person measures his trafo and post the dimensions.

I too want one. In addition, I also need one R-core with specs of 400VA and 34-0-34 volts.

The list goes like this:
1. Gopib - 1 Nos
2. Stereorules - 1 Nos
3. Captrajesh - 1 Nos (1A 22-0-22 volts R core plus one 400VA and 34-0-34 volts R core)

Could anyone suggest any GB for enclosures maybe ???

+1. I heard that there is someone in Bangalore who can supply Aluminum chassis. May be we should Santhosh to give us a heads up.

I need two one for this kit and one 0-18V, 1A for my other pass 5.

@sachu. Do you still have some Axon 11 MFD caps with you for trade.

 Guys, as mentioned above, I will be doing the CNC as well in the same chassis. What spec of tranny do I need and why? Please give me both options - CNC battery and CNC powered by same PS as Pass B1. Please help me decide and also explain!! Sorry if this was discussed earlier and I missed it.

Yes, my classmate from college is a distributor for jindalaluminium.com and my initial discussion with him sounded promising. Unfortunately, I could not visit him before I left. Will check it by end of December hopefully.

Santhosh, I think this trafo is for the multi purpose PSU that they have made. It can be used to power the B1, the LDR and the CNC Phono. If you want the CNC phono to work purely on the battery, then you need not connect it.

Yeah I remember you having said that but didn't want to mention it since I don't have the mandate from you to post the info in the thread. I went through the brochure and shortlisted a few good looking ones. I think they have listed the cross sections with the weight per feet etc. Will share with you after you come back.

No Audiodoc,
I don't have Axon 11 uf Caps.I have 4 1UF Axon caps which I will use in B1, and remaining 2 are reserved by Omishra

^^+1,
The power supply kit which you are going to get from me will be useful as stated above and it has same trafo requirement 22-0-22, 1A which will be more than enough.

Yes, its really confusing, all those numbers being discussed are going above my head... :)

My requirement:

CNC phono : Battery powered

Pass B1 :
- Which extra parts do I need to procure to assemble it other than the parts sent by sachin considering it as an independent unit?
- If I use the CNC in the same chasis of B1, how will I connect the o/p of the CNC to B1?

Please clarify.
