I am following this thread for Pass B1 BOM Nelson Pass B-1 preamp kit

I have found following components on Element14

Sachin, Following substitutes will works without affecting audio.

Digi-Key - P1.0W-3BK-ND (Manufacturer - ERX-3SJ1R0)

For power inline resistor, please refer this.

Digi-Key - BC2076-ND (Manufacturer - BFC241671005)

For power supply shunt, please refer any of first 3 of these these. I suggest VISHAY Cap from these. These can be found locally if you agree. I used in my discrete audio power amp. Polypropylene metal film caps are common.

OMishra will post BOM for Lightspeed Attenuator,suggestions welcome.
Note: Please verify all components with original BOM as I am not very good at Electronics.

I will prepare it soon, apart from sinolex LDR, all can be availed locally. Only LDR are in audio path and hence will be imported more and matched for 10 quadruples(group of 4). Control circuit is not pricy hi-fi stuff. So no need to take trouble of importing. If you have different opinion then I will find all of them on element 14.

BOM for each PCB of Lightspeed Attenuator (LDR Volume Control)

5 X Connectors, 1X2MTA <- Can be avoided if wish to solder wires directly on PCB
4 X 100 ohm, 1/4W, 1% MFR
2 X 1K, Trimmer RTRIM64W
1 X 10uF,50V Cap
1 X 1uF,50V Cap
1 X 100K Stereo Potentiometer [No link]
1 X Voltage Regulator 7805 [No Link]

Most important part:
4 X Sinolex LDR NSL-32SR2
This we need to buy 60 and match closest 4x10 for each PCB.

Thanks for taking initiative for LDR and regulated power supply.I could not able to find those 4 big PP caps required for B1 on Element14.Do you suggest any alternative?We would like to avoid importing from partexpress due to shipping cost and customs.

This looks very different(mounting pattern)

Sachin, it is polypropylene capacitor with radial (Vertical) mounting lead. Our PCB expects axial (horizontal) mounting. We can lay the capacitor horizontal in center of required space on PCB. Insert the lead closer to PCB into soldering pad. Bend another lead over the cap toward bottom and insert in another PCB soldering PAD. Thus mounted it horizontally in center of required space. Its not that big problem.

BTW original BOM states use of Polyster IMO. Its my mistake to read polyprop in all places. Sachin's suggestion holds true.

Actually pass has suggested 10uf Polyester caps from AXON.We can use 11uf(as value is not critical) Axon available at part connection @ $2.83
Error in Form!

Power Supply for Pass B1 Buffer, CNC Phono and Lightspeed Volume Control

We made some progress. It seems no modification will be required for this.
Thanks to FM quad for his help and suggestions.
Features:

1. Input transformer secondary voltage 20-0-20, 500mA or 22-0-22, 500mA
2. Rectifier diodes MUR8xx fast switching diode.
3. One single PS for Pass B1 and Lightspeed Volume Control
4. One dual PS for CNC Phono.
5. Input C-R-C ripple filter at 31Hz
6. Output L-C-L noise filter at 1590 Hz
7. Output voltage tunable from 1.5V to 25V output
8. Size: 4" X 3" single sided PCB
9. Budget not calculated yet but within Rs 1-1.2K (PCB & coil prices are known yet)

Hi all,
I have ordered 12 pairs of matched JFETs from Spencer(DIY audio member,Hong Kong).I will order remaining parts for B1 and LDR tomorrow from Element14.Om/Prasad has also designed a regulated power supply for B1 and LDR.It will cost INR 700(approx) with locally available components.Please let me know how many members are interested in power supply as I need to order PCBs for this.
