Hi,

Can you tell me a simple way to watch my movies/videos from my pc to CRT tv.
The movie files are not more than 1 gb each. Of course they are stored on the hard disc.

Further my TV is Sony CRT 29". The only hassle is the distance between the TV and the PC is around 20 feet.

Plz let me know.

Regards and thanks

Starting just one thread I am sure would have provided you an answer.....
anyway......what is the display card your system has and what video inputs your CRT has. Its a CRT so I am guessing RCA and S-Video at the most, and again assuming your display also has s-video, this would be the only way you can connect you PC to CRT........also s-video does not carry sound and so that you have to drive the same through your PC itself.....

Thats a nice guide Spiro....but the step 3 "configuring the CRT" seems pretty odd, coz if I remember correctly, when I connected my CRT with my computer using s-video, I did not do any such step (going from lower to higher res), my display drivers and xp detected the correct resolution of the second display (1280x720) automatically to it native one and the image showed immidiately.

It depends as my CRT had a changed circuit & I cld get higher resolution too.
Many old-CRT may not support higher res,so I suggested step by step.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
