just curious
why didn't you buy 12 angry men and the man who knew too much in BD and Jodha Akbar and jab tak hai jaan in DVD? first two films will probably remain more appealing after say 10 years

Well, I had discount vouchers from Reliance TimeOut and used them for the two Hindi movies on Blu-ray and got a discount of 250 on each of them. Both the movies have great A/V quality and a true high definition experience with an addition of beautiful filmed locations and mesmerizing songs which I doubt a DVD can compete. Moreover, at that price after a discount, it was a steal.

Whereas, the other two English movies are concerned, I do agree with you regarding the appeal factor,
but the Blu-ray's are very expensive and I opted for a once used copy on DVD and bought them from ebay. Moreover, as these movies have mono audio, its fine on DVD.

BTW, The Man Who Knew Too Much is priced same for DVD and Blu-ray at US$ 24.99 + shipping.

I have been hunting for "following" DVD. Where did you buy it from ? Straight from criterion website?

12 angry men is releasing on BD in amazon UK on 3rd June which eventually will drop down to 6-8 GBP, nevertheless to me its a film which can't be measured by its price

quite a envious collection you are developing

But I doubt, it to be a Criterion release. The extra content along with the film is exclusive in Criterion release only (as mentioned at the Criterion's website).

The total extra content other than the film, runs for more than 230 minutes which includes a tele-film by the same name "12 Angry Men", first aired on September 26, 1954, 51 minutes and
a teleplay directed by Sidney Lumet - "Tragedy in a Temporary Town" 56 minutes.

soamz, you will enjoy "The Raid", its a great movie with pure brutal action which is filmed to its perfection.

Only issue is with the Blu-ray transfer, its not something to show off. The A/V quality is at par and misses the punch for such a movie. I own the India release from Excel and wonder if its any different from the UK one.
Overall, a good movie...

I had its 1080p downloaded few months ago and it was really good , though audio was compressed . So, Im expecting some good feel with the BluRay and ordered it.

That intense fight was really strong and worth showing off to the friends. They will really enjoy it. :clapping:

Not in this thread. "Piracy" discussions are not allowed on forum unless your downloaded collection is legal. Even then, this is a BD thread. You may start a new thread if you like.

Only steelbooks which are exclusive to amz jp. Min shipping charges are 2300 yen, 1K+ INR lol. So does not make any sense for regular blu-ray purchases. Shipping is via DHL though and parcels lands in flat 2-3 business days in India. Fully traceable.

Damn kix. Superb.

More things landed from Japan

They look beautiful and stunning!! Especially, Pulp Fiction, has got more of an elegant look.

Can you even take the pics of the inner art work as well and upload them. It would be a treat to my eyes.

Today evening, I received the most awaited, most desirable, most dreamt of Bluray movies :yahoo: GANGS OF WASSEYPUR !!

The good news is that....I checked both the movies by browsing through chapters quickly and the audio and picture quality both are upto the mark.
This is Eagle Bluray product, yet there is no watermark throughout the movie (I still need to confirm it completely if there are any occasional watermark during the movie.)

Hurray !! Getting these favourite movies on Bluray is none less than a treat !!
The coming weekend is gonna be a blast at home with all the friends gathering with lot of liquors and slangs while watching these movies ;-)
Hats off to Anurag Kashyap & Zeeshan Kadri for producing these 2 great movies!
