Santy is not using XPA5. He is using an active speaker set up, one for each channel. That is surely going to please MSEB, he's going to be a high profile consumer for them!:ohyeah:

Heh doc I think we both know the 7.0 set that Santy has paired with this wonderful pre-amp :) ... But I don't think those 7 active speakers will consume more power than a 100W/ch power amp like say the xpa5... Intact I think it will consume considerably less power than a power amp...after all the speakers are just 30-40w/ch

PS I start drooling just thinking about the 7.0 speaker set Santy got his hands on :D ...

My humble beginning, Kenwood KP-3021! Many thanks to FM Kuruvila jackob, for this wonderful TT. My sincere thanks also to FM Pratim Bayal, whose active cooperation made collection of this TT possible. Me & my family heartily appreciate the hospitality extended to us by Shri Bayal & his family.
Waiting for the Behringer Phonoamp ( Wait! I dont want to start running before learning to walk!) ordered on bajaao.com.:licklips:

Rajadeep I was just joking about the power consumption! I know that it won't be too much. BTW I heard Santy's setup last saturday and yes you are right, its drool factor is sky high:clapping:
He has achieved audio video nirvana. In both two channel and HT it sounds fantastic! If I were nitpicking I would say that the only downside is his Velodyne Subwoofer, it slightly holds the system back in 5.1. His next upgrade to my mind should be the sub, after that I think he can sit back and enjoy for the next 5 yrs at least!:ohyeah:

grado sr80i headphones
-----------------------------------------

none.. will play it with my sansa flac player. wanted a headphone that sounded good w/o head amp..mainly for my use in dull hotel rooms when you are bored of travelling, life and TV.

did not want to analyse and "audiophile" too much.. just enjoi !!

i went to the shop tried this and fell in love with it.. infact i dropped off to sleep last night with these on.

They say the grados "leak" sound but frankly i did not find them much of a bother.. they are comfortable, fit my large head very well and sound divine.

God bless Grado :-))

I can only imagine what they would sound like after 50 hours or so..

Congrats Santy!
looks like you have turned Professional in just month!
Narrow field of view. is Nikon D3100 doing the honors here?

Thanks sbg :) Just started learning.
It was shot on a 35mm prime. I love this lens. Check out some other pics I shot using this camera:

No man. Its 40W per driver, 80W per channel. Yes, the rears are 40W/ channel. But they really don't matter. And I have not connected 7.0 since its an overkill for the room and also due to lack of media contents in 7.0 apart from cluttered cables all around.

Glad you enjoyed doc. But apart from sub, you also spoilt me by implanting 'projector upgrade' thoughts in my mind. :p

Theta Reference Pedestal for the TT from SoundFoundations. Thank you, MAGMA!

WOW. Fanntasstic! Complete isolation for the TT. Entire setup is also very neat.

Magma is indeed very good at what he does. One of the best pedestals I've seen.

If you don't mind sharing, what were the commercials?

Cheers...

Santy, you are a severe case of upgraditis for which there is no known cure. It can be kept under control by spending huge sums of money but relief is only temporary!
Jokes apart, I think you should seriously think of upgrading your sub first when time and funds permit. Display can be done later, at least in my view. A tight fast sub would be the icing on your cake!
