Well, I like the sound quite a bunch so I have no reason to sue it yet. :p :ohyeah:
Jokes apart, yes, like how we have preamp and power amp in a two channel setup, this is pre (processor) for multi channel. You need power amps for as many channels as you wish to connect (5.0 or 7.0) or you can pair it with active speakers also like how I did.

Thanks guys

You are welcome doc... any time! If you wish to hear 11 amplifiers and 11 active xo's at work...

Have you checked your electricity bill after you started using the UMC200? I hate to think what 11 amps running simultaneously will do to it! May be you should go for a 3 phase connection!

The UMC 200 is a pre amplifier/processor. It won't add much to the power bills. Its the power amplifiers that guzzle power. A colleague has been using a EMO XPA5 and it has not added a significant bump to the power bills.

UMC-200 :yahoo:

Santy is not using XPA5. He is using an active speaker set up, one for each channel. That is surely going to please MSEB, he's going to be a high profile consumer for them!:ohyeah:

Ohhh..that's something interesting to know , thanks a lot Santy! So which active speakers R U using for yr 8 channels?

I still don't think it will demand too much power or have the ability to show a significant increase in power bills. Its a powered home speaker. Not in the PA league. Todays electronics are built with the idea of being as efficient as possible.

I have purchased Realtek 1186DD based 3D capable media player (10moons T6) from aliexpress for USD 105.

I will write a separate thread to share my experience as initially I almost bricked my player but recovered using serial port method.
