My worry is how will I carry the Projector? I don't want to put it in a checkin bag nor want to carry as a seperate box.

Santnai - IMHO get a carry on bag - large lap top bag or small 18 to 20" carryon - wrap the proj. in large bubble wrap and put it in there. Mind you, every security check you will have pull it out but the bubble wrap should protect it. - I think limit for carry on is 8kg.

My first purchase towards my dream HT setup. Epson 8500UB, OPPO BD-83 and Harmony one remote.
I will be bringing these stuff along with me from USA to India. My worry is how will I carry the Projector? I don't want to put it in a checkin bag nor want to carry as a seperate box.

not a good idea to carry such things in cabbin baggage. However, First check with airlines if they allow.

My latest addition to BD players is Oppo BD-80 arrived yesterday... Won in ebay bidding / ship thru Vpost and arrived very safely.

Ordered Mod kit and will arrive in a week..... Will post the review.

But my first impression in pic quality is really a good. an upscaled:lol:1080P to some other resolution.. May be what I saw till today in Pana/Sony is some kind. . Have some good depth in pic clarity. Cant differentiate anything in sound.May be i will try some CD's.

Played Avatar and have a massive diference in picture quality from the 720P rip. Played Maghadeera and i could clearly state the faded portion what i already written/noticed were improved by atleast 20 to 25% and i could see the pic clearly... Can notice it has improved the colour depth too.

So happy with the purchase.

i guess u cud pick up a PJ carry bag ,strip the PJ of its original packing and strap it on to the PJ carry bag and shoulder hang it and carry it along with you , i have got a PJ once in such manner without an issue --all the best

somehow my luck all the purchase for the last 10 years from abroad working out without any problems...

I can simply say upscaling is not good as PS3 phat version. Still it is ok, i played numerous DVD's including old original ayngaran- Indian, Kandu konden, Pammal K, Jeans. Volga's- few telugu releases and found to be good. However i have never seen any oppo DVD or 83 upscaled pictures could not comment clear cut.

Got myself the WDTV Live from US through a friend.

I maybe wrong but music files played straight from HD using WD sound so much better than either the IPOD or through a USB in the DVD player.

Am happy i got this one.

Just had one query for you all - i have connected the WD to the AVR using HDMI in and then the HDMI Out to the TV. Is there any other way to connect?

Connections are fine and this is the only way to get HD Audio from your rips provided your AVR has the capability for HD Audio.

I just wrapped my Panasonic AX200 in a single layer of Bubble wrap and put it in my carry on, which was a simple VIP soft carryon, when I brought it with me from the USA in June 2008. I didn't have to open it at any security checkpoints.
Just put it through the scanner. Only had to open the laptop fro directscan.
I came by Emirates through JFK, Dubai to Hyderabad.
At Dubai the airhostess wanted me to gate checkit, but I refused saying it contained a valuable PJ. As the size of the carry on was well within the allowed size she couldn't object anymore and allowed me to carry it personally.

Can u guys suggest some good projector bag or carryon bag with the diemesion of 18 x 16 x 7 (L x D x H). I searched through the net but couldn't find any?
