So after a lot of research have finally booked my new AV set-up

Below are the details of my old set-up

NEW SET-UP (just booked today)

(2) SAMSUNG LA40C630K1R
(3) CAMBRIDGE AUDIO AZUR 650A (INTEGRATED AMP)
(4) MONITOR AUDIO M6 (FLOORSTANDERS)

Will get the Samsung TV this weekend and the 650A + M6 mid-november (delayed as Ill be out of Bangalore till then)

Yamaha RX-V667 AVR from Music Square, Bangalore @ Rs.40,000 (With bill and Yamaha-India warranty)

Zeroing in on RX-V667 was not easy, but I wanted Pre-Outs and support for TrueHD and DTS HD-MA and not many AVR's in this price bracket have Pre-Out's.

The main point of contention was how to get the RX-V667; Import it via Borderlinx/GEB/SYW or buy locally. Ebay GEB pricing for V667 came up to Rs. 32,xxx and add another 2K for the step-down transformer. I guess it was justified (at least for me) to pay the additional 6K for the peace of mind (a.k.a. India Warranty).

Looking forward for the weekend to install the new babies (RX-V667 and Mission MV8).

I finally got my Emotiva UPA 5 and UMC 1 all installed and functioning.
Got it during the Halloween sale and shipped them via borderlinx.

Total cost was Rs. 72,000/-

After I bought Asus BD-rom,I also purchased Audio technica ATH-M50 HP,Sapphire HD-5570,few BD-discs for refference.I will get it next month.

In terms of features, the Samsung offers a lot more. Since you have bought a 3d receiver, I suppose it makes sense for you to for a BD player which does it too. Also, the Samsung supports wifi which is quite convenient.

Samy BDp are good too & since AVR is 3D ready,can go with 3D BDp.

I got a 1TB external USB (with external psu) for 3470/- from cost 2 cost, Nehru place. Also brought home the new headphone amp, generously built by gurubhai. Yet to test with my gear and extended listening. Wondering what dac to go with it.
