Hi Friends,
I am planning to buy Onkyo 3400 this weekend and getting a price quote of 25000 from both Delhi and Gurgaon and no freebies , does anyone have bought it in NCR on a lesser price please let me know.

Yeah...thats pretty much the standard price going around here. Some people have bought it for 22k as well, so try and bargain with the dealer and see if they are willing to reduce the price

i had a chat with them over the phone but they told get this unit ll be cheaper in some states because they have ports where the expenses were less to shipment of the units so i think 25K will be last price.
one more thing
is their any major difference in performance of 3300 and 3400 or just an extra HDMI port(i can live with 1 less HDMI port if i have to pay 3k less)

Finally i bought Onkyo 3300 from Onkyo wonderland for 23.5 K

will post the pic the weekend, until now no problems at all fully satisfied with it just need some basic and best setting from the old users of 3300

Pioneer RS30 for 36,390 ( the mrp is 41K )
Does this seem to be a Good deal as far as the price is concerned ?
Auditioned the Onkyo with some DVD and MJ Music , Pioneer was not yet set up.
Onkyo sounded - well like an onkyo ! Ok but not the type to blindly go and swipe the credit card. The music seperation was ok, the boom was restrained and the overall effect sounded like a movie hall but the music was a bit too bland for my taste, some how my the system was "not music to my ears"
Pioneer has a grt reputation - the speakers "looked impressive" I have no clue if they will sound impressive - will try them out on sunday

Any chance of Onkyo 7.1 speaker sets availability - I can then plan on pairing the same with a ebay recv...

Check with the Onkyo dealer in Hyd if you haven't already.

BTW, RS30 does not decode the HD audio formats, so it could be a "no go" for most of us.

finaly bought onkyo hts 3400 along with lg bd 550 from vijay sales at 25990...since was reading the forum that its availble everywhere in the 22-24 k range i thought of buying it at that price with BD player.
they were reluctant to seperate the offer...bd 550 was in offer for 4990...i asked if they can just give hts 3400 without the BD player as it was basic one so i get the system at 21000 ...but sales guy said its an internal offer and if i have to buy only onkyo than the price will be regular one of 24990 ..so i thought its worth paying 1000 extra for blueray player as LGs dvd also doesnt come that cheap..
coincidently i was planning to buy one lg tv with same player as free at letsbuy.com and lowest price the player i found was 6.5 k...i hope this is a good buy..getting deliver sunday afternoon..thnx to all forum members who keep giving valuable info to make decision on av buying easier for people like us

Bought Onkyo 3400 at price of Rs. 24000 from Navi Mumbai. Bargained from 26k to 24k but vendor did not go below this price.

Hey. just bought Onkyo 3400 for 23500 (with HDMI cable) from delhi. I have connected my Tata Sky HD and AV with an HDMI and AV with TV with another HDMI. the setup is working fine but i am not able to appreciate if the sound coming is 5.1 dolby or not. Do i need to connect another optical / coaxial cable also for that? if yes then which one should i purchase ?

i too have it
fantastic sound good bass
in the menu opt incrs the db level to +4 db i n all the spk
then u will enjoy a good bass and vocal sound quality on low volume
i got it for 22,500 rs from vijay sales goregaon e 4-5 mnths ago
model looks great nice front panel good display
and its a hdmi ver 1.4 a that supports 3d so no probs for future
