Its an awesome deal, just check out. But I think it will soon be launched in India and will sell for 30-35ks... since its only 27ks in Amazon.
Because the 3300 costs around 22-23ks in amazon, which is similar to the price in India. Also, the Onkyo India website does have the 5300 in its catalogue. So, it might be very soon indeed...

5300 is already available in India.. costs around ~50K

Onkyo S5205 at 40k
Onkyo S3300 at 25K

Is Onkyo S5205 worth paying 15ks extra???

Did u try Promises - they might get u a better deal - in jan10 i got for 10% less than what technocity is quoting for 5205!!

I did try promises, they were also asking 25ks.
But I can negotiate more, from both parties. How is the 5205 faring, I really liked its sound. Havent auditioned 3300 yet...

To be truthful, i like 5205 'now' then when i first bought it for the various uses i have - i mostly listen to music and weekend movies from WDTV and some radio if at all.

When i first bought it - i thought the sound was a bit too choked for music and something was missing - but over a period of time - it has gotten better for my tastes - plus i listen to it in the direct mode - earlier it used to be on all channels, so that might have something to do with it.

But i am yet to get started on hearing the brands that are discussed on the forum for speakers barring a few - so this just might be bias as i spent on this system.

Today I went to Worli via BWSL, one of my long time plan. I thought of visiting heera panna (grey market) after almost 9 yrs. To my disasppointment it was closed. So i thought why not go to Alfa in Irla. I was thinking it would be quite big like heera panna or manish market but it was rather small. Electronics on display was also not impressive. Managed to note down some prices.

Whats your take on HTS 9300? Its the upgrade for HTS9100. And priced at 81K.
Anyone auditioned it? Is it worth?
