First, Get the MRP of the it. Then, when u go to purchase dealer will final price from his Quatation. Ask him the DealerPrice (DP) of the product.

In General, DP will be 10% less than MRP. If , you can bargain hard, You can avail upto 10% discount on DP.

Among, organized retail chains, I have observed that e-zone has most of the times lowest price.

But, If u want to avail max discount, go to purchase from a relatively smaller local shop. If someone has started the shop recently the better. This guys will give you the max discount.

Don't worry about service. In anycase manufacturer company will be handling the service part, not the dealer.

THIS, I am telling you from personal experience. When I bought my 4 series 32", MRP was 44,000; DP was 40,000; I got ot for 36K from a startup dealer.

not much - this year we are looking at a tight budget - so even if the FM wanted - the cut will be negligible in electronic consumer goods etc.

BTW if you smoke - expect prices to shoot up by 2-10 bucks per packet

I checked out the LG plasmas, PQ30 and PQ70, yesterday. Very impressed with the PQ, with different sources (DVD and standard cable). Too bad they did not have DTH to also compare with. The color seemed natural, with different settings, no motion blur that I could make out (checked with the mine-blowing scene in Behind Enemy Lines) and the design looked ok. Did not check the USB port (not too interested). Can somebody tell me where I can check both the Pana and the LG side by side?

BTW, best price for PV8 so far 44k, for the LG 40k (PQ30). Both without any exchange, and not much negotiation. Both 42" models. Did you guys know that LG has plasmas in 32"? I was like

finally i bought PQ70 for 44k on saturday.

story goes like this

when i started my hunt i was targeting any high end LCD. but here i saw very good response to Plasmas. I changed my mind when i saw PV8 first time. i decided to go for Plasma. and on Saturday i got an opportunity to compare PV8, Samsung LA40B650 (LCD, which i was considering at first), PQ60, PQ70. Both LGs are alike in PQ. motion blur is almost nil in PQ60/70. even though LA40B650 is 100Hz and Full HD, it still fails to impress when the signal is DTH. and LG is brighter compared to PV8. finally i zeroed on PQ60. but the dealer had only the demo set of that and they were having a pack set of PQ70 ready. so i went for that considering the BT, extra speakers and slightly improved looks for 2k extra.

Yep, this is from Hyderabad. The new LG brand shop in JH. They did not have PQ60 in stock, and are not expecting to receive it "for some time". PQ70 quote was 43.5k.

No, I wonly looked at the 42 inchers. I can share the number of the sales guy though, and you can talk to him and ask. Now, if only I could compare the PV8 and PQ30/70 side-by-side.....:licklips:
