Right now I am listening to ...

jake shimabukuro is currently known as the best ukulele player in the world. some of his works

I really, really like Jake Shimabukuro's version of George Harrison's While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Just awesome. Another great rendition of the same number is by the neo-classical fretmeister Vinnie Moore. He definitely captured the melancholy of the song, though he missed out capturing the vulnerability (IMHO). But he managed to squeeze in about a thousand argpeggios in the 5-minute song

Been listening a lot to Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds' Playlist where he has covered evergreen standards and added a couple of originals. Great guitarist and vocalist (besides being a producer). My only grouse is that all tracks peak at 100%. Very little headroom left in the mixing/mastering. This is surprising coming from a producer like him.
