Hey thanks for the update.
I was looking at only plasma TV's in LETSBUY.com and i could not find D490 at all.
looking at your post,i managed to find the D490 under 3D option and with the 5% coupon,I have ordered it for 38,400rs with 2 3D glasses free yesterday.

Just saw the ad in Letsbuy for a LG 3D 42"Plasma TV(Buy LG 42" 3D Plasma TV 42PW450 at Best Price in India - Also find Specifications, Photos, Features & Reviews), they are offering the TV for Rs39099/-. I was thinking of buying Samsung PN43D490A1D but now I am really confused.
Last year had bought LG 42" PJ560 for my house in my native place and I am really satisfied with the performance. Now want to buy a Plasma TV for my house here in Hyderabad with a bugdet of 45K, I had more or less decided to go for a Panasonic plasma but this 3D feature offered by Samsung and LG below 40K is very tempting....experts plz advice.
Metro Kukatpally is offering the Samsung 3D tv at 41K, yet to visit other shops like Bajaj, Reliance. Which shops offer the best discount...suggestions welcome

How to check after delivery that the product one have received is not from grey market and carries valid warranty etc. and will my local service center honor the warranty.

I, somewhere, read that 43D490 only supports upto 720p, whereas 42X30 (panny) supports 1125p.

It plays all contents upto 1080p 60hz.
There is no difference between D490 and X30 when it comes to playback.
BTW, What do you mean by "1080p 3D bluray contents available on net to be downlaoded smoothly"?? None of the TVs download anything from net. They only playback.
490 is in 43 and 51 inch ..
43 ..490 --> 1024 x 728 ..
51 .. 490 --> 1,280 x 720
1. )will it make any visible difference in HD quality ..if i go for 43..from 51 inch .
2.) howz the 3D quality , if compared with 550 51 inch plasma ..
bcas i would be chosing between .. 550 and 490 .. but 490 is currently in budget ..
or is it worth waiting 2 month more .. for 550 . ?

Guys, I have finally decided to go for Samsung 43PD490 after much research. I always wanted to go for a Plasma TV and my budget was fixed at 40K and hence have chosen this model. After much negotiations, Bajaj Electronics Hyderabad is ready to offer the TV for 38000/- (Freebies : 2 3D glasses, One imported Bed sheet(wonder why he is offering a bed-sheet with a TV the cost of which is given as 1050rs and lucky draw coupons)).
The price that I am being offered is fair or not.....suggestions welcome. I will purchase the TV in a day or two. Also, the owners of this TV, please post some reviews....I have not seen a single review about this particular set.
