How is this tv.It will be for 82-85K on big billion day flipkart.Anyone knows the spec.Specially peak brightness, contrast ratio, input lag etc.

what i know this tv comes with all samsung smart feature such as,one connectbox, air play 2,smart tizen os with all the usual apps youtube, netflix, prime etc. This is suppose to be a 2019 QLED panel.

I did not find any other info about this model.where does it fit in the QLED linup of samsung from Q60R to Q90R.since this is mainly for displaying art hows the motion and input lag.

Please share your thoughts.

It's comparable to entry level qled q60r.
Review available at rtings. It's actually a 2018 model. You can see from the LS03 moniker.
Compared to q60r, you get same picture quality, fancy additions such as one connect box, better build quality, picture frame functionality etc.

just checked on rtings.specs are ok specially brightness which is 350nits.not good

When i have checked review of one of indian youtuber he said its 2019 QLED panel.even rting is going to post a fresh review for 2019 frame tv.I dont know samsung india is selling 2019 or 2018 model.

I think it is 2019 because it supports airplay2 and apple tv which are features of 2019 samsung lineup.

I found some more info on the other thread about this tv.this is nothing but a aesthetically pleasing version of Q60R.correctly mentioned by josedandrew above.

This tv has great design and features.the only average thing about this tv is picture quality :).This tv is available for 80k(5 k cash back) on flipkart and for no cost emi 3500 for 24 months.which is good deal.

But i feel its better to stretch budget get b9.which will be for 1.15-1.2 if go by last year prices trends.

Some reviews and specs are claiming as 120 hz refresh rate, is that correct and what about brightness nits and claims of Dolby vision.
No Samsung Tv supports Dolby Vision.last years model has around 350nits brightness.rtings will soon post review for 2019 frame tv.I guess then we will have all the details.check Q60R specs.this tv will have similar specs. It does have better sound (40W speakers) than Q60R(20W).

I dont know about refresh rate need to check.rtings says this tv(2018) is very good for gaming and watching sports.so i guess that wont be an issue.

Does it mean that Samsung Tvs(even expensive QLEDs) are only 10% to 20% brighter than budget tvs like TCL or VU?
Well most tvs in market are below 500 nits brightness.only few tvs in india are above 1000nits.the Q90R is above 1000nits and Q80R around 900-1000.

This years Q6R is around 400-450 nits range.so the frame tv will have similar brightness level i hope. Its still a much better tv than vu and tcl and xiomi in every aspect. The only feature its missing are local dimming and high peak brightness.but those tvs are expensive in 1.15-1.2 range Q80,Q90,X95G etc.

I think this tv is a better choice than something like oneplus tv which is costing 70k.This tv can be use as a showpiece also.people are going to notice it.

How this particular Samsung model with a brightness of 350 nit is "much" better tv than budget TVs. Nowadays most of the content is at the least full hd and 4k is going to emerge strongly going forward so upscaling factor of SD content is not that important. so what other aspects are there?
Well as i mentioned the brightens will be par with Q60R.which is around 400-450 and not 350 nits.that was 2018 model.i hope its clear to you now.

I dont know the exact specs of this tv as rtings has not published a review yet.what you can get from samsung is all marketing jargons.so till rtings review this tv i will not know for sure.

I said it will be better thatn vu and xiomi etc.because i assumed that specs are similar to Q60R.which is 6500:1 static contrast ratio.400-450 nits brightness, better motion handling, low input lag around 15ms,VRR with freesync,QLED panel(better colors etc).

Also it has all smart feature provided by samsung.

One drawback of Frame TVs can be heat dissipation thereby making this tv more prone to failure. Also using it as an art piece I think it is a screensaver. Anybody owning this tv can shed some light on it.

I have no idea about durability of tv.the processing will be done by the one connect box which is not wall mounted.still i can not comment this as i dont own this tv.

This is just my opinion about tv.You can purchase whatever you like.if you like VU or TCL go ahead n purchased it.I have nothing against TCL or VU. in-fact I already have Iffalcon 55 inch and VU 40 inch tvs.

I have nothing against higher priced tv. I want to buy budget Tv as many of my flat panel tvs(Pansonic, Sony & Hitachi) have failed so I want to spend only bare necessary amount on a tv. How is your Iffalcon as I have shortlisted TCL and MI 55" tvs?

PQ is good for the price.the only downside is this tv has very low brightness 280nits.so if you are planning to use it in a bright room then reconsider.also since oreo update hdr is looking dull and washed out.you will need continuously tweak advanced setting to make hdr work.No issues with sdr content.

This frame TV is better than Q60R and comes with the same edge-lit 120 Hz panel. I personally did a demo at a local Samsung store and picture quality is exactly the same as Q60R. On the plus side this comes with the one connect box, no gap wall mount and also has 40 watts sound output compared to 20 watts in Q60R. And of course it has all the bells and whistles of being a "Frame" TV. I almost bought it from Flipkart for around 110 k a few weeks back but finally could not resist the temptation of an OLED and picked up a 65 inch C8 display unit. Anyway the 2019 frame TV at 80 K is a bargain and much better option than the OnePlus TV (although I am a huge fan of OnePlus).

Flipkart is selling it for 75K with 24 months no cost emi.very good deal i guess.specially for the living room.I also almost bought it yesterday. But now waiting for OLED deal

Got this TV... Not happy with the picture quality. It's a mistake from my side buying it online without demo'ing it :(. I was used to Sony W950D colors.

Thinking of selling it. But I'm not sure how easy to sell it off without losing money!

Meanwhile if anyone else bought it, please share your picture settings.

It should be having a return window. Try to return from where you bought, otherwise you will be losing money.

i did not know this tv is so bad.anyways here are the settings for 2018 model on rtings.check if it helps in any way.

Flipkart does not allow for these reasons!
If you are not happy then raise a return request and they will send a Jeeves engineer to come and check. These guys usually don't care and file for a return/replacement if you ask.

The first instance of doing this would a replacement as per FK policy (if the item is in stock or else direct refund) and if you raise the request again then they will accept your return and refund you.

All of this may not be worth the hassle and you may just want to just keep this TV because of the price paid and feature set made available to you.

Plus, you not liking colours of the TV could be a simple fix. Why don't you try cinema picture mode or whatever is the equivalent on this TV and change the colour tone to Warm. Samsung out of the box has very unnatural colours which are blown out and looks like dynamic mode on the Sony TV. I personally like warm earthen colours.

Since I do not own this TV, I can't help you any further on this matter but will leave you with one tip. Do not copy colour settings and simply keep tweaking till you find something that you like.

And if you succeed in getting a refund for this TV then I would recommend increasing you budget and getting LG OLED C8/C9 instead. I have the C9 myself and it is fantastic with great colours out of the box and packed with features which will serve you well for at least the next 4-5 years.
