Samsung 64F8500 Plasma Discussion Thread

Hello Everyone,
I am planning to buy this TV.
The best deal I am getting in Noida is 1.85L. I suppose I should wait for Diwali offer for a better deal.
Has anybody been offered anything better in NCR.
Thanks.

Can you please share the dealers info?

Thanks in advance

UOTE=shagun;607701]In case you are also planning to buy, we can ask for a better discount.

The dealer is Samsung Plaza in Sec-18.[/QUOTE]

Booked the F8500 today ,it was an extremely tough choice to decide between the sharp 70le735M & the F8500 the reason being i could not demo the F8500 where as i spent long time demoing the sharp 70'' ...the sharp is a giant 70'' led/lcd,went to stores to finalize on the sharp...but then going by the forum praises for the F8500 went & booked the samsung!!

Should get the F8500 by weekend.

" Generally speaking it is difficult to go to anything else once you have enjoyed a plasma "

100:/: true .....upgrading from the Pana pv8 itself was a tough choice, the PV8 being only 720P had a better image than most newer generation Tvs i demoed

just realised the stand of F8500 is in a different shape than the other tvs, the stand of the 8500 runs the entire length of the base of tv unlike in the center..

This means i need to get a new longer tv table as its not going to fit in the older table which held the PV8 :annoyed:

can anybody kindly post the length & widht of the stand (end to end)

thanks in advance

Mounting is a good idea. It won't cost you a bit as mount comes with the TV and the store guys will install the TV too.

It's 58.5" i.e., 4.87' wide. You'll need a 5' width table.

wall mount is a good option....but i think the 8500 looks best on a table or stand.
Thanks Anubisx for measurments.
will get a stand done.

Subhash,

The display looks amazing when placed on it's unusual stand. I toyed with the idea of wall mount but moving such a heavy display once it is mounted is huge effort.

Stand mount gives you flexibility and also looks great.

That's true, that unusual stand looks really good. He was saying that his present table won't hold it so I gave him a free option :)

I can't afford that TV but I'll get me a stand of F8500 and use it as photo stand :) Just like the Monolithic design from Sony :D
