Speaker cables - Bare copper vs. tinned copper

I would suggest trying out the Belden 8471. Its the same cable as the 8477 but is the 16 awg version.
In terms of sound it is a little quicker and leaner but still has the same traits as the 8477.
Just wondering why 16 awg would be better then 12 awg. As the awg increases the thickness decreases. 12awg is 3.2sqmm whereas 16awg is 1.3sqmm.
Belden 8477 12 AWG has a resistance of 1.8 Ohm/1000ft whereas Belden 8471 16 awg has a resistance of 4.49 Ohm/1000ft. Even the cost of Belden 8477 12 AWG is much higher then Belden 8471

The thicker gauge of the 12awg gives you more low end.
In case of the 16 awg the thinner cable attenuates the low frequencies.

Which one is better is relative to your system and your taste.
I've used both and preferred the 8477 in my setup.

How music gets represented seems to have a lot more factors than just the resistance. while the capacitance and inductance also vary a lot due to configurations of the wire winding , its coating and dielectric does matter.

If you are really keen you can read a paper by pass labs.

For this reason I’ve biwired with 8477 at the lower and 8471 at the upper post. Single wiring with 8471 sounded thin and with 8477 lacked brilliance. Biwiring (as above) gave me the result I liked. If the speakers didn’t have the provision, I’d have gone with the 8477 (thicker). But that could depend on one’s amp-speaker combo and sound preference.

Looks like my admiration for Duelund and tinned copper continues ..

Recently tried supposed to be high end zensati (alloy) full loom and furutech (UP-OCC copper) cables. They got closer to ultra clean presentation but somewhere was not engaging me. So went back to Duelund 10awg speaker cable and Duelund12 AWG 600 DC power cables. Something is righteous about these modern take on WE tinned copper cables. They sound tonally rich and engaging, though may be not hifi as other high end cables.

The same Kiran Sales, Lamington Road, Mumbai. +919322235353.
They also sell a range of Belden and Klotz cables, all very affordable.

Without going into the brand name or the twisting pattern or no. of strands, I feel there is such a big big difference between tinned copper and bare copper.
I could not find Euroclear 12 AWG in Kiran Sales website. Can you please confirm that the name is Euroclear
