This is Karthik from Chennai. I would like to share my experience with all of you. Today i got a chance to audition few of the products.
1. Denon 1312 receiver with polk audio 5.1 basic speaker package cost around 52 K
-> Checked with MI movie and the effect was not that much good. It was ok. i ll give 4/10 ratings
2. Onkyo HT 3400 cost around 28 K but bargained to 26K to make the final cut.
-> Auditioned with bourne ultimatum movie and the effect was great apart from mild distortion when heavy bass strikes the sub. Ratings-8/10
-> While playing music, it was OK. Ratings 6/10
3. Yamaha YHT-296- Final price is 32 K
-> Good for music and its average for movies
Ratings- Music -7/10 Movies 5/10
4. Just spoke with the owner to cut the deal but dint go for audition
DEnon 1312 XP - Cost 29500
Pioneer RS 33 for Rs.36 K ..
Overall i guess onkyo is better .. Good value for money
