re: Toshiba P2305 39" Review

Can you check Star Sports 4 when a footbal match is taking place? You can't see any players.. They look like paintings :( pls check n reply asap

The channels i watch
NGC,Discovery,Star Sports,Nat Geo Wild n Peope,Ten channels,History,Sony,Life Ok n sometimes kids channels :p kids channels like disney look alright in SD n many SD channels are watchable except sports which looks awful.. I'm sure in a few years there will be access to many HD channels but the problem again is the price n will there's no guarantee that the cable/dth operator will add it.. For now i'm more than satisfied with the numbers

Review time:

1. Color reproduction is great: To my eyes Sony looked marginally better whereas could not make out any difference between this and LG/Samsung
2. Audio: Very good but not as good as Sony if you are an audiophile .
3. Checked fast moving scenes for motion blur. Played Avengers in 1080 also watched MotoGP on SSHD and very much satisfied with the output.
4. In cricket mode the thing easily noticed is increased contrast but my eyes could not identify the difference between this mode ON/OFF. That said I have kept it on cricket mode as picture looks better. :)
5. It reads my 500GB HDD remarkably fast and is easy to navigate.
6. The remote is lightweight but the buttons lack feedback.
7. Build quality: Decent. Made to the price.

Conclusion: If you want a large screen, very good PQ, decent sound, Three year warranty and VFM. Go for this. I am happy with my purchase.

re: Toshiba P2305 39" Review

I just checked and reliance claims to provide 250 channels in HD. Are they simply transcoding SD content into HD format? How is the PQ of these Nakli-HD channels compared to Asli-HD?

They're upscaled thats all.. But don't buy it coz its crap n they provide just 10 Tru HD channels i guess(Not sure) n recently bcoz of non payment they have removed a lot of channels + they don't have any space left for new channels

I will post it by evening.

Does this TV have HDMI (ARC) function & does it decode DTS sound track from BRRips ?
Sorry I a noob in these things. It has two HDMI ports but I believe what you mentioned is different?

Regarding DTS, I read a comment here that it does not. If you can tell em how to check then i can get back with results.

No worries buddy.... HDMI (Audio Return Channel) is a function in the hDMI port... it send the audio back to the AVR....

most higher size BRRips have DTS content.. (or) if the file name cotnains DTS, then it should have DTS soundtrack...

Juz tryin playing that movie & see if it plays audio... Though video will be played on the TV...

No DTS, I can confirm that.

re: Toshiba P2305 39" Review

yeah no DTS but it does support dolby digital.. :) can't expect such features on a tv like this!

Most Samsung models & few LG models support both DTS & Dolby.... Rest of them don't decode DTS soundtrack... Hence wanted to check this model if it does...

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
