Vinyl I am listening to...

Last night and the last few days as well has been this.

"In My Place" is just outta this world and sounds fantastic on Vinyl. In fact the whole album is simply great.

Wow..I'm listening to this album after a long time! Sounds so brilliant! Stone cold classic! Never come across a band that sounds like this..

Another huge hit in Trivandrum, back in the day and very popular songs at school. Again, the record was sold out and Dad only managed to get a poor quality pre recorded cassette. Finally the record has come home, courtesy my good friend Simon.

Has anyone else noted that the hairless gentleman's picture on the back gate cover of 'Shaan' LP has is slightly aberrated near the right cheek area:D

I remember watching this movie in a remote past :). What is the name of the chrome-domed villain?

BTW, it's a Polydor LP and very well pressed. Sounds very nice with some good stereo effects in most tracks.
Yup, he is Kulbhushan Kharbanda.

yes, its a good pressing but a notch or two below The Burning Train pressing. The cover has multiple folds with lots of pictures from the movie. However the actual quality of the printing is quite bad with most of the pictures lacking clarity. Nevertheless, this is a legendary movie, and a great listen. Co-incidently, this movie was shown over the weekend on Zee Cinema at 12 in the night, and I sat through it till nearly 4 in the morning. The Shaakal character is truly amazing. Was quite scary for us when we watched the movie at the cinema theatre when we were kids.

Tonight, I've got to work on my PC's smps which blew off during a thunder storm last week. Will be playing the following in the background.

Wakao, All R.D.Burman vinyls except one. Recording quality of Sanam Teri kasam and Zamane Ko Dikhana Hain are just great. Please listen to Mehbooba and Love Story in mono mode.

A relaxed Saturday morning with Bill Black.. The untouchable is MONO.. He is one of the pioneers of rock and roll music and was the bassist in Elvis Presley's band

Last night's playlist:

Al Stewart - Year of the cat. Still an absolute pleasure to listen to . And the violin solo at the end of Broadway hotel is just magical.

Renaissance - Ashes are burning. My personal favourite from their catalog, tying perhaps with their other masterpiece "Scheherezade and othe stories". Annie Haslam is easily one of the greatest voices ever in rock music.

Rocking Sunday playlist:

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bayou Country
John Entwistle - Smash your head against the wall
