Last few additions to the collection i've been enjoying:
1) Manic Street Preachers - Futurology
New album by Manic Street Preachers. After a couple of spins I really like this album and is one of their better efforts. I also liked their last album "Rewind the Film" a lot, which was a more acoustic affair. This album is more rocking :clapping:
2) Bob Dylan and the Band - Complete Basement Tapes RAW
For any Dylan fan, this is a holy grail collection of songs recorded by him and the Band. For many years some of these songs went unheard, until now. This is the 3LP box set version
3) Modest Mouse - The Lonesome Crowded West
My favourite album from my favourite band of all time. For many years I was DYING to get this album but it was selling for over $500 on ebay. Finally this year it was reissued and I am so happy to finally own this. Words cannot describe...
4) Mark Kozelek - Sings Christmas Carols
My favourite Singer/Songwriter Mark Kozelek released an album of Christmas Carols. Perfect somber Christmas album to get into the spirit this season! MK albums on vinyl are super rare and limited editions. This one is on red vinyl and limited to only 500 copies world wide
5) Miles Davis - Bitches Brew MFSL version
One of the greatest Jazz albums of all time, the avant garde Bitches Brew. I am glad I waited to buy a copy, as this Mobile Fidelity version smokes!!! Better than any CD version i've heard, and this is from the original master tapes. Doesn't get any better than this for Miles Davis fans! These are still available, I highly recommend picking it up now before it goes out of print and becomes $$$$$
