What watch do you wear?

:p well, I don't wear any since the last 3 years .... looky at my mobile to seek 'time'.

But possess the following (some inherited) .... maybe, one day ...

- Omega Seamaster (automatic, 1970)
- Roamer (hand wound, 1948)
- Seiko (quartz, 1985)
- 6 nos. Titans (quartz, 1990 - 2000)
- Rolex 'copy' (Taiwan, automatic, 2000) - picked up at Pat Pong B'kok
- Cartier 'copy' (Taiwan, quartz, 2001) - picked up at Pat Pong B'kok

It is an impressive line up indeed -referring to the first four watches :)

I do use my mobile to verify the exact time as the casio tends to get slower every few weeks, so the wrist watchis for a quick scan and my mobile for an accurate version , especially when trying to catch the train etc :D

As I am getting older, I feel it'll be nice to get a decent wristwatch - I don't think I'll go for something expensive like a Omega/ Rolex - maybe a Rolex/Omega copy

I still like using my Casio Protrek PRG-80 or PRG-50 titanium for regular use. I have couple of Edifce Chronographs for smart casuals.

Hemant, nice collection indeed. Is the Omega Seamaster a recent addition? You did not mention it when we met last Feb, hence the question:). Hemant also has a collection of sunglasses and lot of other stuff :ohyeah:

Flash: I really like the Pro-Treks, hope to own this or a Citizen Navihawk someday.

Kendun: that casio is nice. Don't downgrade to a Titan unless you are willing to spend more than 15k.

I too have a collection of over 20 watches, but will list only favourites:
My dailywear(bought in 2005): Seiko 5 Automatic
Similar to this pic, but fully silver in color with a white dial. Almost looks l

Cheers Santhosh, will keep your advice in mind - I may just look at Casio watches to see if there's anything with a chronograph style. Some of the chronograph styles/ diving watches look good, but I don't fancy spending that amount of money.

As my watch's still working, it's not an immediate necessity, more of something to buy later, so may have a look at the watches suggested in the thread.

None.

My Accurist was so old I have no idea where or when I bought it. I liked it's dark-blue face and gold case, and almost always managed to find dark-blue straps for it

Countless straps, many batteries, the gold plate long since mostly worn away, but it still worked until just a few months ago.

I want a Skagen Titanium watch, with Titanium mesh bracelet: I have very small wrists, and they look too big and/or just don't fit.

Waiting for them to bring out a model just for me :D

Nice thread Kendun!
My collection:
1. Omega Speedmaster chrono automatic
2. Raymond Weil Don Giovanni Automatic
3. Tag Heuer Formula 1 Chrono Quartz
4. Mont Blanc Meisterstuck quartz
5. Seiko quartz chrono
I find myself using my automatics more and more, specifically the Omega - of-course since it is an automatic I need to wear it more often - otherwise I have to wind it. Do not have a watch winder yet.
Planning to acquire fairly soon (all automatics):
1. Panerai - any one that fits my wrist well
2. Tag Heuer Carrera
3. Breitling - Not too sure - but one of the aviator models
Wishlist:
Cartier Pasha
Patek Phillipe - the slim model
An IWC
Cheers,
Sid

What about a TW steel or christopher ward ?
Got a thing about the Skagen design ... but they make their mens' models too big for me. The women's range are not necessarily diddy or feminine, but have not found one in any shop. Like shoes, too big a risk to buy online: must fit, must be comfortable, must look right.

However, would never spend big money on a watch. Or clothes. Unless for practical purposes like cold or waterproof. When I used to sail, my sailing stuff cost far more than any suit I ever bought for office wear.

Nor would I ever buy more than one. sidvee, that is quite a collection!

Thanks Thad,
Have a fascination for complex mechanisms in watches - dream of owning a tourbillon someday, for now I look through the transparent back of the Raymond Weil don Giovanni.
Cheers,
Sid
