Which one is better Yamaha 3067 or Pioneer VSX 531?

Dear All,

Please suggest me which one is better?

Can I connect my existing Sony IV 300 speakers to any one of these AVRs?

For me Bluetooth feature is not a problem.

Having owned a Sony HTIB, I can confidently tell you that those speakers may not be compatible to hook up with any AVR, because they have a weird impedance of 3ohms. Probably sony uses this low impedance to get more power out of them. Both HTR-3067 and VSX 531 may need at-least 4ohms speaker impedance.

As a Yamaha user, I feel the AVR is value for money and adapted for both movies and music, off course you can't compare the music quality to Marantz.

With regard to the latest codecs, both these AVRs work with DD, DTS, DTS-HD MA, DD TRU-HD so they cover almost everything barring ATMOS.

I think, based on my Sony specification below, only center speaker works.

subwoofer is passive so it wont work.

Any speakers will work with any amp or AVR....the catch here is to ENSURE that either the impedance of the amp or avr is same in most cases....

What can go wrong is that you will face over heating issues....all technical information is available if you google it....

It is better to match the speakers in terms of impedance and output to appropriate amp or avr....

If you are on tight budget lines, look at pre owned stuff being sold on hifiads.com, olx and HFV For Sale by owner section.

But while playing DTS HD MA movie through android box, AVR showing on display panel as DTS only.:sad:

No problem with Dolby True HD videos.
