which tower speakers better

I want to purchase a good tower speaker. My estimation is 45k.my friend suggest me polk tsx550t and moniter supreme 2000.i want to know which one is better and has good sound effect.please guide me in this matter and tell me where i can get the speaker in cheap price.I have denon 2000 av receiver

paired with the AVR will it used primarily for music or for movies and used as fronts ?

what speakers you plan for centre and surrounds ?

are you planning to get a sub or already have one ? this can make changes from FS to BS.

for 45k multiple options available. please share the usage of the same and what type of sound will be pleasing to your ears and decide.

polk are decent for music but mainly HT speakers specifically the tsx and newer tsxt series.

wharfedale , tannoy , sonodyne , boston acoustics , dali.. you will have all these brands in and around 45k for starters..

if you can carry your AVR best best would be to check with local FM's for dealers in these brands and audition yourself.

if you plan to build a 5.1 setup gradually around the denon 2000 make sure you get the centre of same manufacturer as the front so plan for future and then go ahead with the purchase.

Hi

The T550 are decent and would work well with the Denon X 2000. The sensitivity levels are above 90db although the speakers are rated between 30w - 300w peak..the X 2000 would be able to handle the same....you can audition the same at ProFX shops in your city as Polk dealers user Denon amps....

Personally I would go for the RTi A series ...there are ample demo videos on you tube which will show their performance...

In your price range, I'd really recommend trying out the Tannoy Mercury V4 and the Boston Acoustics A360. Both are around the 40k mark. I couldnt audition the Tannoys when I was hunting for speakers, but it is well regarded speaker and has won quite a few awards
The Boston Acoustics A360 are large sized floorstanders priced about 45k
They have simple uncomplicated sound, but in my opinion far better than Polks, which sound quite muddled up
Both brands are available in Kochi I believe, so maybe you can travel to Kochi and audition them

Tannoy Mercury V4 are excellent speakers and would do well in music and movies. They are rear ported, so you might need to place them a little far from the wall behind.
