I am not sure if video itself has been doctored , by changing any of the parameters except power supply. I am assuming not

Oops. My mistake. I thought you made the video and hence I was asking. I have a bad habit of glancing at posts and reading it very fast. So I missed out the part where you say "you were watching this youtube video"

So someone else has made the video and hence we cannot know how it was made. I don't think it is doctored. My guess is that the two videos were made at different times and the position of the recording microphones were not at the exact same position.

I was absolutely intrigued by the difference because I have done these tests and I find no difference that my ears can make out.

I was watching this you tube video and I was impressed with Shanti. But back then I had other use case of using it with pi4. Now it is for Wiim pro.
Please check with headphones if this is making a difference to you. May be your apple charger is good enough.

Apple chargers are good. But I don't think it will be as good as a nirvana smps.

That video was created by me. Right.. it has not been doctored. This was made after i had purchased allo shanti and was impressed by it.

Lovely. And I see you are from Pune. We should meet sometime and do few things. Maybe get few other folks. More the pair of ears better. Do some double blind tests for cables, power supplies , etc. Or just meet and listen to some music

Even I had doubt about it , but ppl on wiim forum says its draws max 1.5 A and min 0.5 and p50 is just in middle of it. SO I think it might work

Wiim Pro Power Requirement

For digital output it most probably doesn't matter at all. And in case you use the analog output: The analog section of this device is so bad, you really don't have to worry about the power supply. I did some tests with different power supplies in the past. The cheap switching ones sounded the...

Yes I did. I did mobile charger vs Allo Shanti and I felt soundstage a bit wider, darker background , crystal clear and a bit more meaty vocals and may be a bit tight bass(But it may be due to isolation applied under speakers too) with Shanti.

Are you using digital out of wiim pro or dac output while using Allo Shanti linear power supply?

Coaxial Digital out fed to my dac.
I am not sure about wiim pro dac as I never used it.
Review also suggested that it's mediocre dac

I got it delivered by Amazon.com to a relative in US, who then couriered it to me via USPS. It will be subject to custom duty after it arrives in India. On rare occasions, the custom officials may pass it, otherwise be prepared to shell out anywhere between 45% to 75% during on invoice price + shipment charges. I had to pay around 6500 as duty.
