Has happened with Mi Tv that's why shared my concern.Even I have heard about this from someone in the industry. Their initial batches are of good quality but after a while, they start pushing B grade quality components in their products.
Unnecessary stress you guys are taking for a poor panel yada yada. It's a wise and great investment and worst comes to worst you are still in the first batch of this awesome product. Unbox and enjoy buddyBTW, got mine delivered just now. Anything that we can decode through the serial number?
One of the reasons might be that the 1000 nits is the peak brightness achieved by MI in a 2% or 10% HDR window ( Settings maxed out). General public start assuming that 1000 nits is the full field brightness achieved in SDR . MI can put an asterisk next to 1000 nits but maybe they are wary of certain YouTube influencers who will measure the full field SDR brightness at around 700 or so nits n then spin a narrative claiming MI is engaging in false advertising. That's very true thinking. FALD are usually brighter. But can you think of any reason of removing 1000 nits from Indian variant? From website.
Mi. But it seems no installation until lockdownWho delivered you ? FK or MI?
Very possible. This may be the case. One of the reasons might be that the 1000 nits is the peak brightness achieved by MI in a 2% or 10% HDR window ( Settings maxed out). IMO irrespective of the fact whether it is assembled in India this TV will have similar specs/ performance throughout its product cycle .
Agreed. Only check for DSE, forget rest.Unnecessary stress you guys are taking for a poor panel yada yada. It's a wise and great investment and worst comes to worst you are still in the first batch of this awesome product. Unbox and enjoy buddy

Oh yeah, I know it can't do 4k@120Hz, I meant 1080p at 120Hz, should have specified that in my earlier post.As per reports by certain reviewers, the mitv cant do 4k at 120hz, whether hdr or not.
Mi QLED 75 TV Review : A fantastic large screen TV experience
The Mi QLED TV 75 is a 75-inch QLED priced at Rs 1,19,999. The TV has a 4K resolution with support for all popular HDR formats including HDR 10, HDR 10+, HLG and Dolby Vision.www.digit.in
Not sure what was the original context, but yes, it should be able to do 4K, 120hz @4:20 but not at full bandwidth.Orginal 120hz also checked. Not a gimmick.
The issue with mi qled isn't bandwidth. It's SoC.Not sure what was the original context, but yes, it should be able to do 4K, 120hz @4:20 but not at full bandwidth.
With 'Full Bandwidth' - I meant @4:4:4 Croma sub-sampling, since the SoC is weak (you are right), it can't handle/process that much information required to display 4K,120Hz @4:4:4 sub-sampling.The issue with mi qled isn't bandwidth. It's SoC.
I think it's perfect to have a great 4k60 experience then. I don't even find difference between 60 and 120 at large distance plus Dolby Vision/HDR10+ can't be done on 120hz.With 'Full Bandwidth' - I meant @4:4:4 Croma sub-sampling, since the SoC is weak (you are right), it can't handle/process that much information required to display 4K,120Hz @4:4:4 sub-sampling.
My Yamaha receiver burnt due to voltage fluctuations induced by switching between genset and regular supply. Since then, I have been using APC UPS with surge protector for the entire setup. I have two 600VA powering receiver, sw, TV, amazon echo, wifi router, and broadband modem. Usually, the switch between genset and regular power takes hardly a minute and these two UPSs are enough for that period ensuring there is no power drop and equipments don't suffer brute power on/off.cant wait for the shield pro to arrive, the UI is laggy AF right now when Playing 4K.
might be OT but do you guys use a voltage stabiliser or any equivalent product for TV and AV receiver? quality of electricity isn’t very good here in Gurgaon. Alol equipment is on a Belkin surge protector right now, which wont do anything for voltage fluctuation
