Xiaomi to launch Mi TV Q1 75" on 23rd March - QLED, 192 Zones, 120Hz

I am getting this message on my firestick. And the HDMI cable that I am using is from Amazon basics CL3 cable.

Well the HDMI out of the receiver should support ARC and it seems from an image on the net that HDMI out 1 does support ARC. Further this should be connected to the HDMI (arc/earc enabled port on the TV).

Then you should select the the digital audio input as ARC in the receiver setup menu and set the audio o/p from TV as arc (LG has this setting). The firestick audio should be delivering Dolby digital plus to the TV (firestick is connected to the TV)

There is no reason why 5.1 sound should not be available. Try powering on and off the components in different sequences to eliminate any hand shake issues.

The message you are getting above is because your receiver does not support 4K so the protection kicks in.

Finally, I placed the order today from Mi website. Used HDFC EMI CC payment option to get 5000+7500 discount. Let see how long I have to wait for delivery at Bangalore.

I'm only seeing 7500 discount on HDFC cards. How did you get 5000 extra? Are you talking about the "No-cost EMI" discount, which is ~10K for 12 months?

I am not very sure about the calculation. I got charged 1,02,453.00 on my card(12 EMIs).
As per the Mi website Normal discount on the card is 5K and on EMI 7.5K

Another query, I did not see an option to buy extended warranty along with the TV. Previously we were given option to buy it. Do we have option to buy it later?

Yes, so now you will pay interest on 1.02L worth of EMIs (unless you can ask the bank to cancel the EMI and pay in full). Let us know if that works.

Total discount is 7.5K + 10K as I mentioned, if bank allows full pre-payment.

Thanks for clarifying. Yes, I am planning to cancel the EMI. But they have not mentioned anywhere about the 10K discount. Is it mentioned anywhere?

It's just called no cost emi. All platforms work this way when it comes to no cost emi.

That's exactly what I was taught that's why I avoided for all these years.
I highly disagree. You just spend from credit card what you usually would from other methods. There are various advantages to it:

1. Purchase protection: The issuer is who pays and not you. So if there's a problem with refund/return/fraud you can claim a dispute and the bank will handle that. You'll get your money back no problem.

2. Rewards: This one is obvious. Credit cards have more rewards.

3. Free credit for ~1 month. This is equivalent to about 0.6-1% as you can keep your money invested in FD/funds/RE.

4. Easier to track spends: All your spends come as a bill at the end of the month. Much easier to track and know if you're spending more than you should. From bank balance it's harder to know unless you calculate your statement every month.
I know how much I've spent and trends for the last few years with credit card. I could have been reckless with just the bank account.

Obviously, this assumes that you don't treat the credit card limit as money you own, because you don't. In fact, you should be more careful on spending with credit.

Review by Digit was published on YouTube . No complaints as such ...overall a good VFM 75 inch TV

Few things wrong. They used movie mode, it's has 120-150 nits less.
Said that x900h is brighter, which is impossible as I have checked myself both TV's, and Mi Tv is alteast 200 nits brighter.
I don't understand the 4k 120 push, no tv does hdr10+/dv on 4k120.
Also they never talk how is the performance of local dimming, they never playaround with settings. Could have talked about motion of the Tv which I somehow dislike.
Forgot to mention that 1080p@120hz is possible.

Fun fact : Sony X900h can't do 4k120.
