Hello FMs .. today i bought the yamaha Aventage 810.
The specs can be found here :
RX-A810 - AVENTAGE - Yamaha - India

Currently looking for 2.1 set up , Budget for FS : 40 - 60 K.
Subwoofer : Max 30 K
Current Room size : 18 X 15 .

After going through some threads here , i found that the suitable speakers may be the Jamo, Wharfedale, Mordaunt Shorts ..... Gurus i need to audition these speakers with the AVR, so please guide me the right direction.

You can also try Monitor Audio and old series nowdays available on discount.

Thanks guys, i will check out the MS Aviano 8 ,MA RX 6 and the Klipsch RF 62. Please let me know other speakers in the same range.

Guys what would be the price of Energy RC - 70 Tower Speakers in India ? Where can i audition them ?

Guys...trying to keep it short...auditioned the klipsch, elac and ae. klipsch was the rf 52 paired with a onkyo 609. Found these speakers a bit bright.
Next was AE ..dont remember the model but was not happy .
Next elac FS 58.2 ...boy these speakers were very very detailed. Listened to some dire straits, SOJA and metallica.shorlisted them.mrp was 48k.
However will audition the wharf diamonds, MA rx 6 and MS aviano 8 tomo nd decide.

I think Aviano 6 & 8 fresh stock is coming to Chennai on 20th June with price increase. Have you auditioned Paradigm Monitor 7 or 9.

Hi Utkarsh, i am planning to audition the Aviano 8 tomo with MA RX8 tomo. I will also check out Paradigm monitor and the Polk Rti A7.

Elac FS 58.2 are rated as 4 ohms :( so i think i will skip these.

Hey jake,, The Aventage series receivers are not so bright as its predecessors are.... I ve come to this conclusion after using one for 2 days ...
Though I am still an audioneub I can still say they are mostly neutral/Natural

So you can check out many more options off the top of my head i can suggest

Warfdale 10.5
Dali Ikon
Dali Zensor
Polk Audio RTi A5/A7/Tsi400 etc
Monitor Audi Brongze/Silver (Although I didnt check these with a yamaha AVR)
Focal speakers Dont remember the model numbers I ve auditioned)
Energy take classic (As per my friend who owns a yamaha+ ETC 5.1)
and many more.... :) MS Aviano and others as mentioned by the learned here~~!!! :)

Oooh How:p:o could I forget the B&Ws but I am not sure about the power because the guy @ vector Hyderabad used some other stereo amp....

And thanks Jake .. yeah.. Happy selection to you as well!! hope to see pics of your purchase soon enough!!!:ohyeah:

Hi Jake,

If it is not too much trouble, take your own yamaha + plus your own music + movies that you watch, if Vector has your AVR then no problem.

It always makes sense to try out your own AVR and try to match up with speakers that shops have (in this case Vector).

Because remember you will have to live with this combo for quite some time.

You need to love what you hear!

Well like the wise man said.. carry your own collection of Audio/VDO/AVR :)
I was amazed by the B&W 5.1 HT that the Vector in Hyderabad housed... just loved every con cordial sound from it...hmmm Hope it works for you Jake..
