Yes, it does upto DTS core! AAC audio wont be converted to DD or DTS, so you would be left with 2 channel PCM for AAC (if its originally multichannel 5.1). I believe only Samsung supports it as I read from LG's manual that it only support DD tracks.

ARC is also not very useful as its usually restricted to 2 channel PCM audio only on all of these TVs.

Hi friends,

Good news.....After connecting the optical OUT of PS51D550 to my
Onkyo 3400's optical IN, I'm now getting Dolby Digital 5.1 channel audio out ....
Thus I'm now able to enjoy the movies from my harddisk connected to the USB port of my TV with Dolby Digital 5.1 channel effect...

I gave him sufficient warnings not to start threads with not properly negotiated rates. He would not listen.

Ok i can accept that he was a bit overzealous and excited with the deals but who's not?
I think he has contributed a lot here and helped quite a lot of members including me.

I dont think it will. Most consumer electronic devices with USB provision supports only FAT32 which in turn supports only 4GB. I have a 1 TB drive .. I will connect it and let you know if it detects my NTFS partitions.

I just purchased a PS51D550

And watching Man V Wild last night, I noticed some of these brightness pops

I have no buzzing or anything, is it worth replacing the TV for a new one, or do all of the Tv's suffer this?

Any way to fix this, also whats the best settings to calibrate this is my first HD TV

I've been looking too. Enquired Samsung Plazas in Madhapur and Jubilee hills and they quoted 66K with 2 free glasses, last month.
Waiting for price to drop. Don't know when it will happen. Hopefully this month

Samsung showroom JB hills ..stock to come this Wed..best price he said will be around 68K ..and will confirm later.

I got a similar quote from Samsung Madhapur and TMC Banjara Hills. 66k with 3d glasses. Samsung said there was no stock till Monday or maybe later and that the 3d glasses would take a few weeks.
