3D TV Recommendation.

I wouldn't recommend the LG LM6200, 90% chances that you will severely regret buying it in a few weeks once you see its flaws in detail. Poor motion resolution, backlight inconsistency, bluish blacks etc. Check out any review of it online to know what I mean

I checked out the same model from LG yesterday at LG store in Lajpat Nagar(Delhi) and I found the Picture quality to be pretty good and The design was also fascinating as well.
I checked out the glasses as well, they were very light and also the picture quality through them was good.
Though I watched it for 5 minutes so I am not that sure about the flicker and crosstalk.
I asked for the remote as well but unfortunately they were not available that time :(

Seems you are set on getting the LG one. No point asking for advice here in that case. :)

Hope you enjoy your LG Passive 3D TV.

It's not like that...I will be experiencing Samsung and Sony 3D TV by next week....and then will go for final decision...

ST50 has active or passive tech??

Active 3d. Haven't I said in another post that all 3d tvs except lg and panasonic et5 are active 3d?

Btw, quite a few movies in theaters are also employing active 3d. I also said on many posts that tv should not be selected based on 3d technology used. But if you have satisfied yourself with the pq of lg then go for it.

But I don't want to make any decision in a hast as i am investing a huge amount on getting this TV
Yeah I agree that somewhere I am bending towards the passive tech.
I want to try every brand before I get the final one..

Please ask this question to yourself and answer it very sincerely to yourself: how much 3D am I going to watch?

You will arrive at an answer. :)

I agree on this point that there is not much 3D content to watch for at present moment.
but what about future of 3D?
Can we expect a increase in 3D content in future?

And if you wish my opinion, refer to post 82. I assume that a budget of 100 to 115k or more is available to you, because 3D in smaller sizes will not yield the liberating experience.

If you are ok with plasma, look at 50ST50 or maybe 50GT50.

If you want the best affordable led around 110k, then 46HX850.

yeah...Thanks for the info...

There will be more 3D content in future but 3D is never going to replace 2D. Even 2-3 years from now majority content will be 2D only.

Finally, I have dropped my idea of getting a 3D TV, instead I am going for an LED smart TV.
Can anyone list some good models for the same?

Size and budget ?

Also why did you drop the idea of buying a 3D TV ?

I visited Samsung store yesterday and even the sales guy there told me not to go for 3D Tv (quite surprising though) as there are not much 3D content to watch for, so it's not worth to spend so much on a 3D TV.
I am thinking to get nearly 42" TV keeping the budget to somewhere around 60k.
