I checked with Croma at Bangalore today. They are offering 50VT20 for 70000. What to you think about the offer? It comes with one glass free. Sales manager says only 2 pieces left.

Is this very old model? Is it worth buying?

Only two display pieces left at entire Bangalore Croma, both are at Marathalli. One piece is displayed for demo.

This is Manpreet Singh from Punjab . I am reading a lots of posts in this forum for past 1 months (Especially Pana VT-20 & ST-30) as these are the best reviewed models in this forum. I am a bit confused about 50 inches VT20 & 42 inches ST-30 . i am getting these models at same price with one 3D glasses . Please suggest me the best model among these two as i will be watching SD contest(80 %) & 3D contents (20%).Please give your valuable opinions as my purchase will be purely on your opinions.

Looks like this model is totally sold out. What is the next best option, the UT30 or the ST30? Is the samsung D550 equally good? Seems like no chance of getting this now in Bangalore

What freebies should I expect. Also if you can clarify on Panasonic Guarantee, I believe you get a 1 year guarantee, which needs to be extended to 3 years on line.

All Croma nos. nationwide go to a recorded message. Nothing works out by calling Croma, you need to physically go to their store and then run through the group of sales executives till you find the one who understands atleast 5% of what you are asking for and then work your way up from there. Remember they are a TATA company. So hit the road and get your panel or else you could just buy the Samsung.

I read in some post of yours where you say you are not in India. Now if the Capt. in your handle means that you are indeed a mariner or an aviator then well you should seriously look at picking up a 55VT30 and carrying it in to port.

As for the warranty, it is 3 years complete cover. So unless you take a hammer and willfully destroy your tv, you have nothing to worry about.

I checked in the Panasonic showroom at Kothrud, Pune. The 50VT20 was quoted as 86,500 with one 3D eyewear.

The 50ST30D was quoted at 97,000 (down from 99,900 sticker price, 119000 MRP). I said that my friends are purchasing this model for 84~86k. He said that he cannot offer that price.

I carried some mp4, divx movie samples on pendrive, however, when pendrive attached to P50VT20, it showed only DivX files, not MP4 files ... it play all video formats?
