Well close enough and if it comes in 42" then I will be too.

However as autopsyche put it very logically, we may not be able to get even the 42"VT30 in this price. Buy this now and use the saved money to buy BR player/PS3, BR discs and what not. I am sure even then one will have spare change left over.

The way things are hoing, Iam sure that if we wait sufficiently long, we'll get this set for free.. hyeah:

Thanks for this info and also the price of glasses somewhere above. All the while I was under wrong impression that Panasonic glasses cost 3.5-5k but it cost about 9K I guess. I am getting a deal of 85K in Pune with 2 glasses and wireless keyboard for 85K so it seems to be reasonable.

Kittu, Can you get any info if they are on the way to Maharashtra as well? 78K with 1 glass correct?

It was with 1 glass. That dealer is not picking up my call now and has already kept postponing for 4-5 days now.

So, all members from NCR and surrounding region in case you are genuinely interested in availing this offer please post your firm interest here and let me have your numbers. The store in-charge has indicated that in case we can increase the total numbers to 4 or 5 there is a very decent chance to get the prices down further. The catch is that he wants to close the sales at one go. Bills will be separate for all individuals but all sales must be finalized together. Both Autopsycho & myself will be going together to make our purchases tomorrow. So we need to coordinate this asap with other members if any are interested.

I have been to 3/4 key dealers today. Most of them have 1 or 2 pcs in stock at the max, some dont hence are referring to the revised price list sent to them by Panasonic. The best price possible in Mumbai currently is around 1.05 lacs without any further reduction.....unfortunate but true

Guess forum members in other cities should not miss whatever best offer in the 74k - 80K range they are getting and just lap up the last pcs available.

That's very true, infact Panaosnic India has no stock left with them for this model as confirmed by a company employee known to me. It's only the retailers and wholesalers now so even the shops in Delhi are not willing to go below 1 lac as khoj found out. We are just plain lucky to have sourced this dealer who has a decent number in stock so is willing to discount, otherwise we would have passed on the opportunity to buy at this point of time. My two cents, anything below 80k should not be missed if you can't wait for the VT30 to go on sale until the next season.

Why dont you pick it up from pune along with amol? Its hardly 100km?

Spot on, that's why its only the Croma dealers who have officially tagged 80k for the package as their best price all across India.

Hyderbad to begin with as i have a good friend there who can talk to the dealer and also bother you if required ...I was there a fortnight back on Official work (Gachibowli), had stayed at Kaveri Hills for 2 days could have settled a sweet deal on my card then (cashback i mean) if i knew. Next trip will only be in really lateeee november.

Bangalore - as another forum member has joined me and will be speaking to Mr. Singh as hes agreed to deliver in Mumbai...

Pune... been in touch with Amol regularly and waiting for him to confirm once his deal is through and whether the dealer can deliver in Mumbai

If the big dealer is CROMA then i would rather get from out of mumbai because IMHO and experiences
1. They never offer the best price prevalent in the market
2. A walk to next door dealer showroom ( kohinoor, snehanjali, Next , etc) or a multi brand shop gets one a much better deal...
3. They do not have any stock or are neither confirming any price hence no use waiting only to run out of chances in other cities.
5. Its a great place to window shop and demo only..

I am also awaiting the SD pics you would be uploading this weekend .....hope you do it soon....not that its gonna change my decision...
