Most out station dealers deliver , but they do not take the responsibility anything happens during transit. So if you are buying from outstation ensure that part is covered by the dealer or get it shipped by a reputed courier with insurance.

Thanks mate, TNT is the courier that is in consideration & transit insurance is the basis of which i shall make the decision irrespective of the location i get the deal from.
As of today i am not getting the TV, least i would want to end up with no TV & money paid as well...
With no signs of any better offers on 50VT20 in Pune/ nearby cities I finally bought this!
To console myselves of freebies being offered with it I got this as well

Yes! 32 50vt20 TVs are available in Mumbai croma (also displayed in couple of them). I booked one in Croma Pune and will be delivered tomorrow.
Here is the offer I got
50VT20 + 1 glass + logitech keyboard + scratch card
tatasky HD + (PVR) worth Rs 3999
Toshiba regza 24" 24PB1E (HD ready) croma price ~14K
All above for 79999
For the toshiba TV salesman says that he can send a second hand dealer who can pick it up for 5K cash! OR
wd TV 1TB for additional 7K and let go the TV back to him.
Confused about this now as the TV seems to be good!
Effectively this means if i give TV back it will be
50VT20 (1 eyewear,logitech, 3yr warranty,scratch card) + TatasyHD+ at 75K
Other offer was without tatasky+ for 78K with the same deal with Toshiba TV (take it now and 2nd hand dealer will cash 5K) so effectively 73K.
Now the Pune brand shop dealer called me and informed he has picked up 40 TVs and will be available for 77K with 2 3d glasses ( says he mistook it with 1 3d eyewear earlier) on Tuesday!
Another brand shop dealer already had 32 pieces lying! offer is same as mentioned earlier by me (85K offer).
So for Pune /Mumbai its going to be a problem of plenty and as time passes it will be available at the rate of scrap! (like I got the Toshiba

I have been telling this all the while now. Has the stock arrived very recently? Because many enquired and got a negative reply..
BTW, 24" TVs are 720p, worthless as monitors and TVs.
Time to play the wait game now I suppose..

Stocks have arrived recently. I called croma 1800 number today and they said its available in Mumbai for 80K. I asked if it can be delivered to Pune and was directed to Pune croma store saying that it was possible. I almost ran to a croma near my home:lol:.

about the Toshiba 720p - lets not talk about a TV which was probably the at the lowest end in this thread of worlds best TV (2010). Although let me close it saying that its fair enough for for Tatasky SD (currently watching it). May be I will put it up in dining. Although I agree as a monitor it will be waste of electricity!

hyeah: hyeah: Amol's offer is irresistable.. They have 32 in stock apparently..It is not going to convey anything atall.. Be prepared for the worst.. SD processing is not even close to samsung 2009 plasma.. I wonder how good samsung's processing is in 2011..
I have decided not to sell the samsung and moved it to the bedroom..

I got it from Aundh croma. salesman : Narsingh Shivade. Forgot to get this number.
You can go in any croma. I asked the saleman whether I can send forum members to him, he said you can send to any croma.

If you can, talk to panasonic brand shops as well - Daruwala pool one (77k with 2 glasses +standard freebies) and the camp one (newly opened near maharashtra electronics) (85k with 2 glasses +standard freebies) and bargain. I have put their quotes in bracket.

Yes I had read your posts Blasto but I believe that was also due to delay in clearance of cheque. Or was it someone else?
In terms of delivery Camp /Baner brand shop can deliver immediately they have stocks in Pune; Croma has promised next day delivery as stock is in Mumbai; Daruwala pool/kothrud/chinchwad stocks expected on Tuesday.
Good look to get the TV delevered tomorrow..
My case, I believe they deposited the cheque very late. Only yesterday did I get a message that the cheque was under processing and got cancelled because of my request. I gave this to them last thursday.. Whole 9 days.. Meanwhile the panasonic installation team stopped calling also.. Lot of confusion..
But with telengana issue any amount of delay is possible.
All these free tvs that come in as bonus are no doubt steal and cheap. But if you dont really need an extra TV , just sell it off and get some cash.
