I got my VT20 delivered last evening. Didn't wait for the Panasonic sales person and set it up with the help of my better half.. the bezel looks good.. checked usage in the service menu, switched on 4 times including 2 times by me and usage duration of 4 min.. 
the manufacturing date, however, is July 2010..
Not tried any content on it yet, running the break-in slides. Unfortunately, this is going to take some time given how the power situation is in Hyd these days and my reluctance to run anything on the TV when i'm not in house.

Is 42ST30 @ Rs.67k a good buy?

Kittu has corrected his post to reflect 50VT20. Otherwise it was right below my post and I thought someone is selling 65VT20 for 78k..
Tata Croma in Ahmedabad....without any bargain the price told was 85K with Keyboard.......but when negotiated the price came down to 76K with keyboard.........after this when i told the sales guy that this model is being sold in other locations @ 75K with keyboard+ 2 glass+scratch card+tata sky hd box......he was surprised and said "it is not possible but will still try to crosscheck with my boss in mumbai"....................After 15Min he came back and said best price of 75K with all everything mentioned above but with only 1 glass.......
Apart from this there is cash back offer on ICICI for max up to 1000/- as cash back....
So effectively the deal is 74K here in Ahmedabad with keyboard, 1glass, scratch card, tata sky HD setup box......
What do you think guys.....with 1 glass ? Also let me know, am i missing any freebies....i am assuming that HDMI cable will be inside the TV box only....

I think
1. with 7% cashback (which card I dont know) you get 2 glasses with I believe tata sky HD and not HD plus PVR.
2. with 2% cashback (max 1K) you get tatasky HD plus PVR but with 1 glass and another 24" LCD TV worth 5K.
All in all croma is trying to cash out 74k from you. Either you get Tatasky HD with 2 glasses OR Tatasky PVR with 1 glass and I think 2 glasses offer is better looking at price of each glass.
Something that is still unclear is warranty. Khoj pointed out this to me over a call that warranty may be 1yr. I am trying to get what warranty I have got but these croma ppl dont share number and I have already requested them in morning to call me but have not got any call yet.
So while negotiating please also get clarification on warranty which I had actually assumed.
