Is Element14 a B2B portal? Its asking for Sales Tax Registration Number for registering an id... If we dont have, its providing KitsnSpares portal to buy. But some of the parts from KOA are not listed in that site. Also price seems to be higher than E14. Also for some of the parts' min order quantity is 50. So, is it recommended to buy those parts locally?

We have to buy from K&S.Prices are at par with E14.There are some res. min quantity is 50.You can buy metal film res. of same specifications from a local store.

however the battery drain is proving to be costly.. you mentioned earlier about connecting some lantern batteries.. how do i do this from a n00b perspective

From that headache I planned something interesting here. So far all 12 people confirmed it w/o transformer included. If somebody backs out then contact Sachin. I am not going to use my phono stage on battery.
Also Sachin mentioned that 2 X 28 Rs Eveready red battery is doing great for him. Why to spend 2 X 140 each time.

As an aside, last week when I went to the local market, I picked up some chinese 9v battery. Already 30 hrs gone and doing well. Not using LED.
Cost 10Rs. each...Of course no guarantee that the next pair will behave same. Who cares....10 v/s 140 !!!!

You are right! I already conveyed this to Sachin that those blue batteries are also doing great for low discharge. Just verify that it has black bottom and expiry printed on that.

Hi Tek,
I am using cheap Everreay 9v batteries(INR 28 each).It is giving me 36+ hours of listening time.I am going to try regulated +/-15power supply for CNC.If everything works well will order more pcbs for power supply else will return to batteries as I really like them on CNC.
