Best out of Sony BDP S1500

Hi,
Can anybody explain how to get best out of Sony Bluray BDP S1500. I use it mostly to watch movies through USB. Does it support H265 files? Conversion from H264 to H265 if doesn't support.
YouTube in 1080P?

I have used bdp 4500 before I switched to shield. Only Dolby files in mkv I won’t support. Other formats I have not faced any issues
